Q: I currently use Upnote – is this tool better?
How does it differ from what I use now (which already syncs across devices)?
Is it easy to upload my existing data?
Thanks

Apr 8, 2026A: Hi! Upnote is a solid notes app — if notes are all you need, it does that well. Journal it! is quite different though: it's a full life organizer that includes notes, but also journal/timeline, daily planner, tasks, goals, habits, custom trackers, and dashboards — all connected together. So it's less of a "better notes app" and more of a different category.
Sync-wise, yes, Journal it! syncs across Android, iOS, macOS, and Web, with offline-first storage and optional end-to-end encryption.
For importing from Upnote specifically — there's no direct importer yet (current built-in imports are Day One and Journey). Upnote can export to Markdown/PDF, and you could bring notes in that way, but it won't be a one-click migration. If you mainly want a better notes app, honestly Upnote is fine. If you want journaling + planning + habits + notes in one place, that's where Journal it! fits.
