It has potential, but...
When testing Kaptr.me, I immediately encountered issues that doesn't seem to have a workaround.
The issue: If you take a snapshot of anything that is not above the fold (anything that requires scrolling on the page), it won't refresh the data properly because - presumably - it doesn't have the ability, knowledge/action instruction, or power to scroll to refresh the snapshot correctly.
So what happens in that case, is that your information isn't present and you're seeing something you didn't want to see - or, perhaps, it is simply not framed as you wanted the snapshot to be.
I like the concept and potential of Kaptr.me - but currently, it's unusable for any realistic application for me. I'm considering returning it for a refund.

Aug 3, 2024Hi there,
Thank you for clarifying.
Kaptr.me does have the ability to scroll, but as you mentioned, it depends on the specific site's scrolling system. Some websites have complex or non-standard scrolling implementations, which can cause issues with capturing snapshots accurately.
We are aware of these challenges and are working to improve our compatibility with various websites. However, there may still be cases where the scrolling mechanism can break the snapshot functionality.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to enhance Kaptr.me. If you need further assistance or would like to discuss a refund, please reach out to our support team.
Best,
Robin
