Exciting Potential
I purchased Katalist a couple of days ago. I'm not a filmmaker or traditional storyteller, so it was more out of curiosity to see if I could adapt it to what I do, having seen the 4 (at that time) amazing 5 star reviews.
It was simple and easy to use and I had created my first storyboard within a few minutes. Because there isn't yet a video download option, I decided to use stills, and incorporate them into a video, and therefore telling the story in a different way. You can watch my first output here: https://youtu.be/j2TAO73bkh8
'Sarah' is the Katalist character, and I wasn't particularly creative, and used the images as is.
I look forward to having video output directly via Katalist, and hopefully having recurring hours every month.
From what I can see, having played with it for a couple of hours, there are lots of possibilities with this software. I am also a course creator, and when I started out, I used to build basic storyboards to get the flow of the event, so it perhaps has an additional use case there.
You never know, I might even create a mini movie in the future!
