I purchased Katalist.ai early last year on the Tier 3 plan. Initially, I didn’t use it much. In the past two months, I was surprised to see great improvements. The user interface has improved a lot in terms of friendliness, organization, and overall ease of use.

One feature I really appreciate is the ability to switch between image editing and video mode. The addition of a timeline view for videos is a smart touch. However, my first attempt at generating a video back in January resulted in a glitchy 19-second clip that was disappointing.

More recently, I encountered an issue where the software wouldn’t let me use my available credits and instead prompted me to purchase more. I reached out to customer support and was genuinely impressed by their responsiveness. They took the time to investigate the credit issue (since I hadn’t generated any substantial video content) and guided me through the process. I ended up purchasing additional credits, and my account was promptly rectified. This level of support not only reassured me but also reinforced my confidence in the platform.

While the software is clearly evolving well, there is still room for improvement, particularly in the area of environment and object consistency. For example, when telling a story that involves recurring objects (like a car), maintaining consistency across all frames would be ideal. Nonetheless, the overall automation of transforming a storyboard into video and the continuous improvements are very promising.

In short, Katalist.ai is proving to be an impressive tool for visual storytelling. The excellent customer service and ongoing enhancements show that the team is truly passionate about what they’re doing. I’m excited to continue using it and see where they take it next.
