Since there aren't many reviews from experienced (or at least prolific) Sumolings on this new deal, I wanted to post my experience with Katteb. This review is not incentivized or compensated in any way. Katteb is a work in progress, but it's exciting and affordable enough that I hope more people will give it a try.

While it's rough in many ways, it has two features that are impressive enough *today* that I'd definitely stack if the deal allowed it. Katteb's long-form article generator produces good quality content, complete with images. The assets that Katteb inserts are almost always relevant and attractive, and the articles are usable as copy with minimal editing. The compositions feel more disjointed than I'd like (I think the AI might get confused between the assets it inserts and may need to consider more characters when predicting text.) Overall, this was a pretty compelling feature, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves.

The short-form generators are mostly the standard set. That said, they give better results than I've seen from other early-stage tools.

As is always the case with content-generating apps, some features are better than others. The proofreading tool returned confusing results a few times; the paraphrasing produced some bizarre, unusable output.

PROS:
* Katteb's full-article generator 🤩 It inserts assets and is superior to what I've seen in other services at this stage of development. In my opinion, the full-article generator is worth the price of admission for this LTD; the short-form article generators are okay.
* Katteb's paraphrasing tool is not there yet, but it too is going in an exciting direction: there's already a distinction between whole-article rewriting and rephrasing. I've seen similar tools at this stage, and the fact that the functionality is even available at all is telling.
* It's 30 bucks! This LTD costs less than one month of limited credit upsell of another AI "LTD" I own. Nice price.

CONS:
* Katteb's most exciting features and differentiators-- to me, at least-- are long-form. Long-form content is credit-hungry by nature, and the credits are generous at this price point, but with the long-form generation, they still go quickly. IMO the deal is competitively priced for what you get.
* There's a $30/month unlimited option, but I hope the tool will do right by its early supporters by finding a balance between (for example) an unsustainunlimited LTD and an unstackable LTD that feels "trial size."
* The UI is a work in progress. It is still at the level of maturity where the "This output is sensitive" message gets sent through to the user. The "waiting..." messages are localized in the wrong language. I've seen similar tools at this stage; they start rough around the edges, and refinement takes time.

I don't believe in reviews based on roadmaps, but if I did, it'd be a 5. Katteb today is 4.25 tacos, rounded up to 5 for versatility and great value for stage/price point.
