Q: Keyword Difficulty Scores
Since the difference between your tiers is the number of keyword difficulty scores, I wanted to ask about how those get spent. Do the scores automatically show in routine searches, or can I set it to only give them to me for situations where I want them? I'd like to be able to wisely spend my budget, and not just burn it on things I'm not interested in during routine searching. Also, can I get scores only on selected keywords, or am I limited to toggling the expenditure on the search level, where all results for a given search show their scores?

Dec 16, 2024A: I wanted to take a moment to address a common question and share some advice to help you get the most out of Keyword Discovery. To answer your direct questions: while yes it’s possible to tone down difficulty scoring by clicking "Disable automatic difficulty scoring" and adjusting keyword ideas from "wide net" to "focused," I’d encourage you to think twice before doing so—and here’s why:
The real strength of Keyword Discovery lies in its ability to identify the most lucrative keywords that are also the easiest to rank for. Even if a keyword appears highly lucrative, if it’s extremely competitive, it could take months (or even years) of effort and investment to rank for it meaning you won't see any of that money anyways because you run out of SEO funds before you start ranking for it!
By leveraging the full breadth of Keyword Discovery’s AI-driven analysis, which evaluates tens of thousands of keywords and hundreds of thousands of competitor sites, you can focus on high-value, attainable opportunities. This approach ensures you’re maximizing the impact of your SEO efforts without overspending on time or resources.
Rather than reducing difficulty scoring or narrowing the scope of your reports, I recommend casting the widest net possible with your keyword credits. This is how the tool was designed to be used! This will give you a comprehensive view of opportunities and significantly boost your chances of SEO success.
If you need more credits, we have very attractive and cost effective options. Upgrading costs about as much as a couple of cups of coffee per month, yet it WILL yield thousands of dollars in SEO-driven revenue.
At SEO Copilot, our mission is to empower you to find the easiest niches to rank for and transform your SEO efforts into a source of consistent, scalable income. Your success is our success, and we’re committed to helping you achieve your goals in 2025 and beyond.
If you have any questions or need further guidance, I’m here to help. Let’s work together to make this your most successful year yet.
