Q: Is it possible to use a Kite I created as a custom template for future ones?
Or the only templates I can use are the ones included by default?

yes you can do this! There is the option of "duplicating" Kites that allows you to re-use your Kites as templates for new ones. You can find this in the 3-dots in the corner of each kites when you are at your workspace..
