Q: Question about search engine indexing of status pages

I have a quick question regarding the visibility of status pages in search engines. Are status pages by default indexed by search engines like Google, or are they typically excluded from indexing (e.g. via robots.txt or meta tags)?

Just trying to understand whether these pages are discoverable via search engines or intentionally kept out of public search results. Thanks in advance for your clarification!

A: By default, KloudFox does not allow search engine indexing for status pages on our platform's default domain (like yourproject.uptimekloudfox.com) — these are set with noindex to protect your privacy and avoid unnecessary exposure.

However, if you’re using a custom domain (like status.yourcompany.com), indexing is allowed by default. That means search engines can discover and index your status page if you’re on a custom domain.

Hope that clears it up! Let us know if you need help setting up a custom domain.
