Almost There- But Not Quite
At first, this seems like an amazing alternative to loom. Being able to easily record from your browser extension, from IOS or Android, and being able to share the links. Then you find the bonus features that are unique to Komodo- the guide function and commenting specifically on-screen locations. These are very cool!
There are 3 main features either missing, in development, or not thought of that prevent a full 5-star and a full switch for my team:
- More sharing functions like embed and GIF-link. These are used often by us for embedding explainer videos or for sharing eye-catching videos via email. When sharing the link, there is no SEO image of the video screenshot itself which also seems less professional.
- The subdomain feature doesn't actually exist yet
- Workspace functionality to share videos with your team. Having bought the 50 users one, this seemed like it would be part of it?
So while I personally am not as excited to make the full switch and may stick with Loom, for our team of developers, this is perfect. For sales, it's not quite there yet.

Re. Workspace functionality, we have something exciting in the works. There is a concept of a "Komodo Space" - this will enable teams to collaborate and see all their work in one space, with real time notifications and ability to see who's recording & watching. We're exciting to deliver this feature. Have a little bit of patience with us! We won't disappoint. :)
