Komodo Decks is a pretty solid screen recoding tool. I already have a half dozen of those and most are as good or better than Komodo. Where Komodo shines/differentiates:
1) Value. $19 for the current state of the tool is great, $19 for the potential Komodo has is insane!!
2) The auto recording of steps. While there are some quirks and much room for improvement, this is one of the better automatic step generators I have used. (I'm considering moving over from Fleeq for tutorials.)

Unfortunately, there are a number of missing features and snags that will keep me from using Komodo much. The most important being a lack of whitelabel/custom branding. I have that with Berrycast and it is extremely important for the work I do, so I will not be using Komodo for anything external/client-facing. It's a shame because the tutorial creation process would have been awesome. Instead, Komodo is a "friends & family" tool (show grandma how to log in to Netflix, show a team member where to find "file-x" in the sharedrive, ...)

I already have Berrycast, Loom, CloudApp, Share X, Hippo, and Fleeq so I didn't really need Komodo, but the automatic step tracking is enough for me to add it to my toolkit. For $19 I am at peace with the part-time use. I wouldn't have bought it at any higher price, not without custom branding.

Other quirks (such as persistent bubble when not in use) have been mentioned by others here so I won't list out all my gripes. Anyway, I am confident that many of those will be addressed.

I fully intended to give Komodo Decks a 🌮🌮🌮 rating, but I have seen how active the team is and how well the tool does what it is meant to do at a core level, so I am bumping up to 🌮🌮🌮🌮.

If they ever decide to provide whitelabel/custom branding at no cost, this immediately becomes a 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 deal!
