What are past projects, failures, or successes you’ve had in your career?
My entrepreneurial journey has been driven by two powerful forces: family and innovation! As a proud father, my biggest inspiration is my daughter - she's the reason I relocated from Florida to the DC area and continues to push me to dream bigger and achieve more.
My entrepreneurial spirit emerged early as I pursued two ventures simultaneously: real estate development, where I specialized in building luxury residential properties, and co-founding Top Shelf Aquatics. Top Shelf has grown into one of the largest saltwater aquarium businesses in the United States, with both a thriving retail store in Orlando, FL and one of the strongest e-commerce platforms in the marine aquarium industry. We've also built one of the country's largest aquaculture facilities, specializing in coral propagation and live phytoplankton production. While it was difficult to step back from day-to-day operations after my move to DC, watching the business continue to thrive has been incredibly rewarding.
My journey to founding Kosmic began in the real estate industry, where I worked in Sales and Strategic Alliances with Sierra Interactive. Through my experiences there, I saw firsthand the challenges real estate professionals faced in creating high-quality video content - not just for showcasing properties, but for building their personal brands and establishing themselves as industry leaders. This initial insight inspired me to leave the industry and build a solution to address these pain points.
Originally, Kosmic was designed as a niche marketplace to connect real estate professionals with video freelancers. However, as we developed the platform, we recognized a universal challenge: businesses, creators, content producers, and freelancers across all industries struggle with efficient video creation and collaboration. We saw an opportunity to build something truly transformative - an all-in-one solution that not only connects clients with creative talent but also empowers anyone to create professional content through AI-powered tools. Kosmic.ai started as a simple idea: a freelance marketplace for video professionals in the real estate industry. We noticed a significant pain point in creating professional videos for property listings, and we wanted to solve it by connecting real estate professionals with talented video creators.
However, as we engaged more with creators, we quickly realized that the problem extended far beyond just finding gigs. Freelancers and creative professionals needed more than just a marketplace—they needed a streamlined, end-to-end solution that addressed their entire workflow. That’s when we decided to evolve Kosmic into something much bigger: an all-in-one platform where creative professionals can create, edit, collaborate, and monetize their work, all under one roof.
Our passion lies in helping creators focus on what they love—crafting incredible content—without the stress of juggling multiple tools and platforms. Kosmic.ai is designed to give creative professionals everything they need in a single, seamless experience, from AI-powered editing tools and project management to a dedicated marketplace that supports their business growth.
What problem is your product solving and how?
Kosmic.ai addresses a major challenge for creative professionals: the need to juggle multiple tools and platforms to manage their projects, collaborate with clients, and deliver high-quality video content. In a typical workflow, a creator might use one platform to find freelance work, another for project management, a separate app for video editing, and yet another tool for client communication and file sharing. This fragmented approach is time-consuming, costly, and often disrupts creativity.

Kosmic combines a freelance marketplace, AI-powered video editing tools, project management features, and real-time collaboration with file storage into a single, seamless platform.
