What’s the origin of the idea for your product?

Kotae began as an in-house experiment. Our team first built a custom ChatGPT-powered bot to handle support for our earlier product, Klever Suite. We trained it on our own docs in English and Japanese, and the results were so good that we realized other companies, especially smaller ones without big AI budgets, could benefit too. So we turned that proof-of-concept into a standalone product and named it “Kotae,” the Japanese word for “answer.”

What problem is your product solving and how?

We’re a small business ourselves, so we feel the same resource crunch our customers do. Building Kotae let us solve our own support pain first, and that hands-on experience keeps us laser-focused on delivering an affordable, no-code AI that really works for other small teams. Our mission is to empower businesses like ours with reliable, always-on answers without the enterprise-grade price tag.
