Q: It asks a lot of permissions for google during registration, is this normal?
I was a little hesitant.

Yes, it's totally understandable.
Unfortunately, in order to show the KPIBees sidebar on the right side of the spreadsheet, these permissions are needed. All add-ons in this category have the same set of permissions required.
This being said, we are GDPR compliant and fully respect your privacy.
