Q: Is there any way this will ever work for mobile recording that isn't a live call?
ie. Recording using a sound recorder app?

Yeah, we had that idea, but currently it is out of our focus.

Yeah, that would definitely work.
Or just integrating it with the native sound recorder app... if that means you won't need the live phone service.
I often just use a lavalier mic plugged into my phone.

No problem! Recording at more than 16Hz would probably help a bit too :)
