I paid for Krisp Noise Cancellation - now I have a calendar app?

I’ve been a long-time user of Krisp and was very happy with the software. It worked exactly as advertised, and I had no hesitation recommending it.

However, Krisp has now added a calendar feature without providing an option to remove it. For me, this is unnecessary bloatware. It loads at startup and requires me to manually close it every time Windows starts—an unnecessary frustration.

I did not pay for this extra feature. I purchased Krisp for its noise cancellation, nothing more. Why am I now forced to deal with an intrusive addition that I don’t want or need?

If this issue is addressed and an option is provided to disable or remove the calendar app, I’ll gladly restore my 5-star rating. Until then, this is a serious disappointment and makes me feel like I’ve been misled.

Hi Joseph, this is Taguhi from Krisp.

Thanks so much for your feedback. I’d love to clarify a few things.

Krisp’s calendar connection is designed to help users get the most out of our AI-powered meeting tools like transcription, summaries, and action items. For new users, we prompt to connect a calendar during onboarding to enable these features. That said, we totally understand that this may not be relevant for everyone.

To be clear:
You can disconnect your calendar at any time with no impact on your Noise Cancellation features.
Just go to app.krisp.ai → Settings → Calendar → Disconnect.

Regarding the other question about Krisp running at startup, please navigate to your Krisp app settings and ensure that the "Launch at startup" setting is toggled off.

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with.
