Q: Native Apps planned / Roadmap?
Hi Kyzon Space Team,
Do you have a publicly available roadmap?
I noticed that you compare your product to Zoom, Teams, etc. Would you say Kyzon Space is specifically designed for large group calls, presentations, and planning webinars where users can sign up for future appointments and receive educational content?
My last attempt at finding such a solution was Sessions.us: https://appsumo.com/products/sessions/. It had a great concept but unfortunately went off the market due to financing issues.
I’d really love to find a solid replacement for Zoom—something like what Sessions was promising. Looking forward to your insights!
Final add: I think also https://www.butter.us/ is here a nice product approach.

Mar 6, 2025A: Hey flolucious,
We currently do not have a public roadmap yet. We have future features in mind that we are planning for, but we are waiting for more use case feedback from the community before we prioritise specific features on our roadmap. Essentially we want to build our roadmap with heavy input from the AppSumo community :)
Technically KYZON Space as a platform can support calls up to 600 participants with our synced PDF presentations allowing for a webinar style use case. That being said, webinars were not the core use case that we designed KYZON Space for. We prioritised the user experience for teams to collaborate on documents in real-time and deliver engaging presentations for clients, shareholders and internal teams. Because of that, we don't have the typical features that allow you to run online webinar style events, from event pages with waitlists, to ticketing and to advanced chat moderation.
As to whether we can replace Zoom would depend on your personal use cases. If you're looking at KYZON Space as a replacement for Zoom webinars specifically, I would say our experience falls short. If you're looking to collaborate on Microsoft, Google documents or deliver simple yet engaging presentations (that aren't simply a screen share), we believe we have a better experience. If you're looking at KYZON Space for video calls, we're better value especially as an LTD, and we're simpler to set up/have participants join because we run in the browser with no app downloads. If video quality is most important, Zoom has the best video quality in the industry, though most of our customers report the video quality in KYZON Space meetings being good enough for their work flows.
Unfortunately our commentary on Sessions is quite limited. We didn't get a chance to try them out before they ended their service. We've heard nothing but good things about them though, but because we haven't personally used their platform, we can only let you and other veterans share your opinions on whether we can be a solid enough replacement.
Butter.us is a great product, with a vibrant interface! They have a very unique feel and approach to collaboration. We share some very similar features but differ in overall feel and approach to collaboration.
I hope that's provided some insight into our design focus and primary use cases. I appreciate your interest and urge you to give KYZON Space a try. I think most people would be interested in hearing about your experiences with KYZON Space and how it compares to Sessions, Zoom and Butter!
Let me know if there's anything else I can help clarify :)
Hey flolucious,
Realised I never addressed your question about native apps. At the moment we don't have a timeline for any natives apps. We try to get ahead of any issues with our web platforms and juggling support for an iOS/Android app now might affect the web experience.
Hope that provides some insight into our reasoning for delaying our foray into native apps :)
Thanks for being transparent—I just tested your platform briefly, and the experience was quite nice. My question is whether this is the right webinar platform for me to consider, as you mentioned that you aim to offer a different value proposition than Zoom or Butter. Also in webinars we wanna share documents / links and so on to educate the audience.
Hey flolucious,
Glad you enjoyed the experience. If you're planning to run smaller webinars, where you share PDFs as the synced presentation and link sharing (to come in the future), I think you could consider KYZON Space. You would still need to set up ticketing and event registration with another service though.
For larger webinars, we don't have plans for webinar level chat moderation, audience engagement tools nor advanced analytics in the near future, that other dedicated webinar platforms already have available.
So I think there are some tradeoffs with using KYZON Space as a webinar platform. While you could make it work, I couldn't claim we are the most suitable for webinar style use cases :)
