Solid Concept, But Not Ready for Real-World Use Yet

I was genuinely excited to try Lazy Leadz. On paper, it sounded like a simple, effective lead gen tool—something lightweight to help speed up the outreach process. But after actually using it, I walked away very disappointed. It feels like something that got released too early and still has a lot of growing up to do.

First, the core issue: the data. Most of the leads don’t include email addresses, and none of them show website URLs. That’s a dealbreaker if you're trying to build out a contact list or qualify prospects at scale. Without these basic bits of contact info, it’s not really lead generation—it’s more like browsing names in a directory. There are generally phone numbers on the leads but I am specifically looking to do an email campaign, and many of the contacts pulled do not have an email.

The UI is minimal, which I generally like, but there are some design choices that just don’t make sense. For example, some clickable buttons are styled in grey. In most interfaces, grey means something is disabled or inactive, so it throws off the user experience. It’s a small thing, but stuff like that matters when you're trying to work quickly and efficiently and at scale.

Then there’s the lead search limitation. On the Tier 2 plan I was using, you're only allowed to run a search every 30 minutes. That’s already restrictive, but what makes it worse is the lack of a proper timer or alert system. You just have to remember when the countdown resets and hope you’re not too early or too late. Not very user-friendly if you’re doing lead pulls at volume or on a tight schedule.

To add to the frustration, in my last four attempts, I tried exporting the full 150 leads allowed under my plan, but I kept getting a message saying I needed to upgrade. The leads never actually exported, but the countdown reset anyway—meaning I had to wait another 30 minutes before trying again. That’s not just annoying—it’s inefficient.

I did reach out to support to see what was going on. They responded fairly quickly, which I appreciated, and said there was a "big fix" update in the works. However, they didn’t give a clear timeline for when that fix would roll out. I didn’t wait around—my lead gen needs are urgent so I decided to request a refund.

Honestly, the whole thing feels like a gatekeep over an existing lead database—maybe even something like Apollo—but without the robust tools or polish that would make it stand out. It’s missing the key features and flexibility you’d expect, even from a minimum viable product.

Lazy Leadz has potential, no doubt. But in its current state, it just isn’t a practical tool for anyone who needs reliable, scalable lead generation right now. I’ll keep an eye on future updates, but as of now, I’d recommend holding off unless your expectations—and your lead gen needs—are very, very light.

Thanks for this! We progress every day. And yeah some choices are design based. But if you know our products we don’t just stop the first week it’s released!! ;) We progress over time. And I personally live by the motto; make it exist first, then make it good ;) So every day just keep checking and reach out if you need something
