Q: Hello!
Shouldn't the unsubscribe function remove the lead from all lists; or tag them as unsubscribed so we don't risk email them again? Thanks, Antonio

May 15, 2024A: Hello Antonio!
Sorry about the late reply!
It's a very interesting topic that we have been discussing so let me share our thoughts so far:
It kind of depends. In the case where someone is in 2 of your lists and want only to unsubscribe for one (because each list is for a different topic) unsubscribing him from all lists would not work...
We're thinking about adding an option saying "if unsubscribe, then unsubscribe for all lists". What do you think?
Cheers,
Guillaume
Hi Guillaume!
It depends how we are going to outreach but in my case, I prefer to be safe than sorry. Since email outreach is done without permission I think it is better to be safe and unsubscribe from all current and future lists.
This can be done as an admin option like "how do you want to process unsubscriptions? by list or unsubscribe from all current and future lists?"
This way it will serve many interests.
Not sure about giving that option to users... because I might create a list today for something and they unsubscribe to that list. And later I might create a similar list with a similar purpose and email them again which is not good. If they are unsubscribed 100% even if I add them to a list (sometimes when we are prospecting we don't look at details) they will not receive any email.
I tagged you on an interesting FB group thread about email outreach where some experienced "outreachers" talk about the "unsubscribe" subject. There are good and relevant insights there.
Thanks a lot for your feedback Antonio!
Very relevant point! I've checked the Fb post you tagged me in and we already started discussing it with my team.
You'll see an update about that very quickly ;-)
Cheers,
Guillaume
