I use this app almost daily now! I am amazed how it picks up on my 10 minute long rambles, and the custom tones that I can create are great. The only knock that I have is I must copy and paste to another app such at Simple Note in order to read comfortable otherwise it's mostly markdown language.

I have been thinking about a tool with these functionalities. Loving it so far. This is definitely a keeper.

I bought similar speech-writing and note-taking apps last year, but they never ran smoothly. Even normal speech writing required some editing before sharing. In comparison, Letterly outperforms them. My notes, spoken casually on my mobile, come out perfectly edited and ready to be shared immediately. I use Letterly almost every day to jot down my messages or draft emails. I'm happy to have found this app.

This product has been a game-changes. When you are on the go and need to get that email out of your head or task list written before you forget, Letterly is a life saver! The only drawback is the 15 minute maximum. So, if you were hoping for a tool to record and transcribe your meetings, unfortunately this will not suffice. However, it has endless capabilities, using it's AI, for capturing, organizing or summarizing, and sharing your 15 minute or less needs!

I drive all day between patients, and the volume of driving makes it difficult to write out my notes. I've tried other transcription apps but the time spent editing made it not worth it. Letterly is the leader by far, and now my choice of method of getting my case notes done.

Letterly has transcribed about an hour's worth of recording and I have only had to make a few corrections (considering the medical nature of my recordings, that's extremely impressive).

The rewrites are even better. I have a few favourite options, and it takes seconds to get the 3 rewrites and choose the one I like best.

My only suggestion would be to put an option for a password or fingerprint access to make it more secure. I use non identifying language, but it would feel better to have the notes even more secure.

Update:

I'm lowering my rating from 5 to 3 as I haven't seen any improvements since December 26, 2024. I'm particularly frustrated with being stuck within Letterly, unable to auto-export to external platforms like Notion or Google Docs. While the team claims they are working on these features, the lack of a clear timeline and transparency is discouraging.

With numerous requests piling up and no visible progress, I'm starting to lose hope—and even considering a refund. Letterly was once my top choice among voice-to-text apps, but it has now dropped to the bottom of my list. For example, I also use HedyAI, which rolls out multiple updates every week. While I understand that comparing products isn't always fair due to differences in team size and resources, the pace of progress at Letterly has been disappointingly slow in comparison.

I truly hope to see meaningful improvements soon, but for now, this has been a frustrating experience.

This app has great potential! I use it often to take notes and build on ideas, but a few improvements could make it my go to app.

1. Simplify Sharing Across Versions
Sharing notes is cumbersome when I have multiple rewrite styles or versions. A feature to share all versions at once would save time and effort.
2. No option to edit the Custom Rewrite. While the Custom Rewrite feature is helpful, it lacks the ability to edit or refine templates once created, limiting flexibility.
3. API and Workflow Integrations
There’s no API or support for tools like make, zapier or webhooks. Apps like Hedy AI, WizWrite offer API integration and automated workflows, making note-sharing seamless. Adding such features would enhance productivity. This keeps all my notes and content limited to the phone and not useable for active content creation and sharing on other platforms.
4. A Chrome extension would make the app more accessible for multitasking users.

5. The team has acknowledged some requests but hasn’t shared a public roadmap or timeline. A clear plan would build user trust and engagement.
6. Device Licensing and Accessibility. Requiring a separate license for use on different devices is not cost-effective. The app should offer web and mobile versions by default for a more user-friendly experience.
7. I am an active user of multiple voice to text apps and I use and test serveral of them quite often. If the above points are implemented then I can replace all other apps for Letterly.

With these updates, the app could easily earn a solid 5 tacos!

There are very few applications that come into my life and become indispensable in such a short space of time. I tried Letterly and immediately adopted it. Whether it's capturing my ideas, writing emails, organizing my thoughts, or simply taking quick notes, Letterly does the job perfectly.
The interface is clean and super-accessible, one button and I'm sure I'll never lose an idea. I use it in 3 languages and I'm blown away by the quality of the transcriptions.
A unique tool for anyone looking for efficiency and quality in their voice recordings and written productions.
If it's available here, I highly recommend you get it.

Letterly has quickly become my go-to tool for journaling, organizing thoughts, and crafting messages with ease. Its simplicity and effectiveness blew me away, so much so that I snagged 3 codes—one for myself and one for my wife. She loves it too!

The app is intuitive, powerful, and perfect for staying focused. While folders would definitely be a nice addition for better organization, it doesn’t take away from how fantastic the tool is.

After testing it for a few months I've purchased additional code for multi device access :)
It transcribes with no problem from different languages (I've tested English, Polish, French, German, Italian).
Really great work so far.

What I'd like to see soon:
1) folders and subfolders for notes
2) tags
3) possibility of leaving the original recording in mp3

I primarily use this tool to capture my thoughts via audio and then have it transcribed so I can enter it into my journaling app. I find myself using this multiple times per day. And if you have a really great idea or insight you can use the app to create a post suitable for most social media platforms. This is a five Taco purchase and experience. One of the most useful apps I've purchased on Appsumo so far. I love it and recommended highly.
