The home page with menu is very clean and clearly structured - here arises the impression that someone has made an effort.
The menu consists of 'Measure' 'Engage' and 'Connect'.
MEASURE consists of (Performance, Customers, Attribution - other menu items are as already mentioned not included)
The data from the Performance, Customers and Attribution are unfortunately only partially correct and are not really something special - so for me no game changer, so I will not go into it further.
ENGAGE consists of (Campaigns, Forms, Automations, Templates and Insights)
The most important thing for me is the email editor. Unfortunately it's pretty standard and can't keep up with the big ones yet. I would have hoped for much more here, and the editor also uses a lot of memory and hangs or is sometimes very slow. (I do not have this problem with OmniSend, MailerLite etc.). There is an urgent need for action here. Writing email should be easy and fun.
The area and the creation of automations I find pretty good - there are also many prefabricated templates and forms for any purpose offered. The selection is quite large, but I would also like more quality and something innovative.
What also bothers me: When I create templates and go with the mouse over a template I am offered (Edit, duplicate and preview), but no deletion. So I can't delete a template immediately when hovering over it. The same with the email contacts (no one click delete or delete of many contacts at once possible).
So it eats a lot of time and I have to make more clicks than expected. For me this is an absolute standard function. We want to save time, do the work quickly and unfortunately that does not work here.
It is partly only "small things" but they make a lot of difference and decide about good or bad.
Although the team behind is very proactive and supportive, as a klaviyo/omnisend user, I was hoping this app would be a great alternative; unfortunately, it is not even close at this time. So, here is my honest review hoping they will take action:
1. The email builder - pretty basic and missing major features which are standard with other platforms, whilst there are other technical issues which they are working on. Also, there is no branding section to add a logo, typography, colour, etc., which is time-consuming to change all that in each campaign. For all these reasons, I am not able to use the app for my store. It makes me wonder how any of their clients are using it for their stores.
2. The SMS module - is not included with this deal either; however, the pricing structure is not ready or transparent, I believe. They keep trying to avoid getting the info out. Over a week now, and there is still nothing on SMS pricing.
3. The integrations list is "generous"; however, most of them are Premium and not included with this deal, and no pricing structure available either. There are a few basic native integrations included, but not many. Zapier or similar apps, for example, are not even on the list, but they said they would look into it.
4. The Measure module comes with six features, but only three are included with this deal, and the other three are upsells.
In conclusion, I wish there was more transparency on the sales page, making it clear what's included and what's not, with a clear pricing structure for those interested in taking the upsells, thus avoiding wasting anyone's time and finding no surprises once you buy the deal. I hope they reconsider the deal and make it with fewer upsells whilst sorting the other bugs, etc. I will update my review once things progress.
Promising Potential: Lifesight – Could Have Been the AppSumo Gem, But Tied to Shopify
This is a review based on my brief experience with Lifesight.
Currently, I use ActiveCampaign for sales recovery, lead engagement, and more.
During my search for an alternative platform, I came across Lifesight, which initially seemed like the perfect fit for my needs. It appeared to be a comprehensive solution with all the features I require.
However, I stumbled upon a significant issue that left me with doubts – Lifesight is exclusively designed for Shopify stores. I couldn't comprehend why an email marketing platform would limit itself to Shopify when platforms like ActiveCampaign operate more broadly.
In my opinion, Lifesight had the potential to be perfect. I had even planned to utilize discount codes and take advantage of the offer. Unfortunately, the restriction to Shopify stores shattered my expectations.
This offer could have been one of the top sellers on AppSumo if it weren't for this limitation.
I'm giving it a rating of 3 out of 5 points because the platform is undeniably impressive, but I deducted two points due to its exclusive compatibility with Shopify stores, which is a significant drawback.
Please bear in mind that this assessment reflects my personal opinion. While Lifesight doesn't suit my needs, it might be a suitable choice for someone else.
