Awesome Grammarly Alternative
Most people will relate Linguix to Grammarly, and that is a compliment to Linguix.
Linguix works in a similar way. It can improve your text and sentences just by clicking on it.
You also have multiple AI options/prompts to change the text, such as: make it longer, shorter, humanize it, and more.
Linguix has a document editor that identifies errors in your text, allowing you to make improvements easily.
Linguix can basically be used across the web and integrates well with Google Docs and other tools
AI technology can also be utilized to condense web pages into concise summaries.
Linguix also allows you to create shortcuts, which can be used almost anywhere. These help you write out drafts quicker, so you don't need to do this manually or copy and paste.
Linguix also has an option to allow certain words. If a word that is incorrectly spelled is, it won't show as an error afterward.
Linguix is fast; I haven't found any bugs currently.
Here are some things I would like to see or improve upon.
- In the editor, when the popup window appears to amend the text, you cannot move the popup. This can get in the way, and you can't see the text you are changing. We need to be able to drag the popup window around the page.
- It would be good to allow a custom prompt of your own to be added when selecting text.
- I'm unsure what AI model is used. It would be nice to have an option to select from various AI models or vendors, such as Anthropic or Groq. Also, the option to select models from OpenRouter would be excellent.
- Perhaps having the ability to select more text.
- Sometimes there are minor errors in correcting text that don't make sense. It would be good if this could be upgraded to better identify the context of the sentence so it makes sense.
Overall I'm really impressed with Linguix. Since its release, it has come really far. I hope they keep making improvements so it can rival Grammarly even more and keep up to date.
I've created a review on YouTube. Please check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YWsU2yuaP8&fbclid=IwY2xjawIn-YhleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHT6Xyu6bOEzamHdEXovl5T-xq8tfeYnAl1OY4PuWqgkRfSgD_9ixTCPQcQ_aem_1A7-cfryKHZtp4OVYm06ug
Also, I corrected a lot of this text using Linguix :)
Thanks
