Great product, but ...

Honestly, I'm amazed by the quality of the voices. However, there's one thing that really bugs me, and one feature I really miss, hence only three tacos:

The annoyance is that trying things out counts towards my monthly limit. E.g., if I convert text to audio and then find the computer voice needs to make a pause at a certain point, I can insert that pause and convert again, but that second conversion eats up my budget.

Honestly, why isn't there something like a draft / prelisten mode with the audio not yet downloadable, and a commit button after tweaking is done? Or am I somehow missing that option? At the moment, it seems like the trial and error (that is still necessary to produce a better than standard result) is way to costly. Not good.

The feature I'm missing is a set of control characters to easily tell Listnr when to go up or down in intonation. For example, an underscore _ could be used to tie_words_together (it worked when I just typed them as one word, but that might also create unwanted results). Signs like < and > used without a blank space could tell Listnr to go <up or >down, maybe even with<in words? Etc.

Some minor glitches:
1. Could there please be a standard pause length so I wouldn't have to first klick in the field and then enter 1 for one second manually? Why not instead add +/- buttons for increments of 0.5 seconds, which would definitely speed up the process?

2. Why not add a 0.5 second pause automatically before and after each line break? That would provide an even more intuitive way to create pauses

3. When I emphasized certain words, they were still marked even when I removed the emphasis.

4. The "My shows" button sometimes doesn't work (even though I created a test show, no shows are shown ...)

5. The number of shows is not shown. I stacked three codes, so it would be kind of reassuring to know that I really do have unlimited shows by now.

6. Speaking of code stacking: The redeem description still says we need to email the AppSumo codes to the Listnr support team. However, they can be redeemed within Listnr by now, so you might want to update that description.

All in all, these are minor nuisances, the product is still astounding, and I haven't even really touched on the podcast features. However, having to wait for the Listnr black box to create its audio output and then seeing it eat away my budget even when I'm not satisfied with the result is a potential deal breaker.

I would certainly update to five tacos if this wasn't the case, happy with an otherwise very promising app and trusting for the other suggestions to be resolved (and the very basic FAQ section to be populated) with time.

So I sincerely hope it's not part of the Listnr team's business model to make customers pay for undesired outcomes. Please rethink this, or at least allow for prelistening of single paragraphs. Thanks for considering!
