Q: Is 500 GB the maximum without the option to upgrade?
Livid sounds good and also looks good, but I still can't see any reason for myself to switch from Vimeo to Livid. With Vimeo, I get a full 2 TB of storage for 8 EUR.
With 500 GB at Tier 2, you really won't get far. So theoretically, I would need 4 Tier 2 subscriptions to reach 2 TB. For the same price, I can use Vimeo for 4 years.
Apart from the multilingual user interface, GDPR compliance, etc.
Could you please explain this a bit more clearly?

Edited Jun 24, 2026A: Hey, I can totally understand where you're coming from and on the face of it you're right. However things are likely to change for you on Vimeo very soon.
Vimeo was acquired recently and is VERY LIKELY to increase your price. They haven't fully rolled out the increase yet, so you may be lucky and retain your price for another year. We have a detailed overview of this here: https://livid.com/blog/vimeo-price-increase-2026-a-complete-breakdown-of-the-new-plans-and-forced-upgrades/
If storage is key for you, then we do offer a very reasonable subscription, not far off what you're currently paying. We're not offering 2TB on a lifetime deal as we want to make sure this offer is sustainable.
On GDPR, we are compliant even with servers in the US. Our cloud storage provider is fully GDPR compliant, covered under the DPF for "Non-HR Data".
We do support the upload of translated captions for videos, but you are right the interface isn't multilingual currently.
Hope that helps!
