I've had the product about 2 weeks, 1 in demo, and 1 week since purchase, and I have nothing but good things to say this app far.
The demo worked right from download, on my Mac, (which was stated to be in Beta) so much kudos there. Without anything but keywords, a location, and setting my scrape speed to a lower setting to avoid getting my IP banned, I was off to the races. I was able to grab 100 exportable results per run, enough to debug my marketing operations. So after the 7 day trial, and probably 20 scrape sessions later, it was time to actually buy the software.
I did notice that the payment area said 1 year, which was a little unpleasant at first. After thinking about the unlimited bandwidth offered with Local Scraper, or paying for a bunch of stacked license keys to some other app and still being limited (Who also may or may not continue to provide their service to you after they update/rebrand/sellout/etc) so I went with Local Scraper.
Since I was going to be doing bigger and more detailed scrapes after setting up the marketing channels I bought a proxy service and started to scrape... and immediately had issues. I sent the debug log after I couldn't correct the issue, and Grant reached out within an hour, and had me up and running within the day. That sealed it, couldn't be happier with this purchase.
So though I've only been using Local Scraper for less than a month, I have to say I'm glad to have gone with this app, and the support I've seen thus far. And as far as the yearly cost, if I can expect this software and service as a consistent part of my marketing campaigns, the yearly contribution to keeping things going is well worth it.
