A: Hi! Passkey storage is on our development roadmap and currently under research. We don’t have a confirmed release date yet, but we’re aiming to roll it out in the coming months. Appreciate your interest!
Q: Request for local save feature, full control, and benefits.
If this password manager, from a positive and analytical perspective, introduces a local save feature that allows users to choose between cloud storage and local storage, it could have a significant impact on many password managers. It would greatly enhance user security through such a feature, making the password manager locker.io unbeatable, especially with its current features. Congratulations to Cystack, a trusted partner in digital security with a global reputation. Cystack - locker.io is a reliable partner in digital security, and I recommend their product. I look forward to the mentioned feature.
A: Thank you for your insightful feedback. The feature you suggested is in our backlog, and we’re working to implement it soon. We appreciate your trust and recommendation for CyStack and locker.io.
Q: Can the Admin control the passwords for all team members,
Hi can we use it to let Team members passwords are controlled by Admin, like the LastPass allow us to do. This way we can control who to give access to which account, and when needs to be we can revoke or change the access to team members. thanks,
With Locker, If the Admin creates passwords and shares them with Team Members, the Admin retains full control, such as granting or revoking access. However, if a Team Member creates and owns the password themselves, the Admin will not have control over that item. This is the same with LastPass.
What Admin do: They can create a folder, add all the items they want to share with Team Members into it, and then share the entire folder with them; They can also choose to share individual items separately with specific team members.
Thanks for your question! If you get Tier 1, you can share a password with your VA using our Locker Quick Share feature. However, please note that with this method, the VA will be able to see the actual password.
At the moment, Locker doesn’t support masked sharing (i.e., allowing someone to log in without seeing the password), but it's something we’re considering for future updates.
Let me know if you need help using Locker Quick Share!
Q: Can I share a password but the other person can't see it?
Hi! I've seen other programs where you could share a password that the receiver copies and pastes but they can't actually see what the password says. Is this function available with Locker? I want to be able to share a password with colleagues but I don't want them to see what it says. I only want them to see ******** and the ability to copy and paste.
Thank you for your question. At the moment, Locker doesn’t support sharing passwords while hiding the details from recipients. However, we’ve received many requests for this feature and are actively considering adding it in the future. Once implemented, it will be included in our release notes.
Every free or paid password manager supports multiple URLs per Password entry? Why is this simple thing not implemented? I mean, this is so a very common need.
I may have a password saved — that is accessible via multiple URLs. so, it needs to resolve the password popup to the related URLs without having multiple entries for the same password.
A: Thanks for the feedback! Supporting multiple URLs per password entry is on our 2025 roadmap and will be implemented later this year. You can check the details here https://cystack.notion.site/Locker-Password-Manager-Roadmap-2025-6e19100d7379492da0f2eb311ceb4350
Hello, about Tier 2 - Family: 1. Each user has its own login (email and password) and its own private dashboard; or there's only one login for all and all the data (login accounts and passwords) is mixed up and shared between the users ?
For Tier 2, each user has her/his own login (email and password) and own private vault. The family owner will have a dashboard to add/remove family member.
I gotta admit I havent heard much about yall so far. Two questions:
1. Are you able to share how long has 'Locker Password Manager' been in the business? How are you sustained right now? How big is your team?
2. My team(s) are currently using Password Boss. Is there a comparison I can access? Can we transfer from PB to yours without complications? I didnt see PB in the list of Password Managers one could transition from.
Thank you for your interest! Here are the answers to your questions:
1. Locker officially launched in June 2022. Since then, we've served both individual and business customers globally. About our team, we have been specializing in cybersecurity since 2017, trusted by leading enterprises for delivering robust and tailored security solutions.
2. We can add support for importing from Password Boss shortly. No worries at all.
Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!
Hey Locker, I accidentally deleted my lifetime account a few days ago and just realized I forgot to save some really important files Is there any way to restore a deleted account? I'd really appreciate the help
In your case, please send the email address associated with your Locker account to support@locker.io. We'll review your situation and see how we can assist you.
Dear Locker team, great product which I just purchased and so far looks like a great experience with even greater support. One question: if I were to purchase a second account here on AppSumo, can I gift it to another person (who would activate it with a different email account than my registered appsumo)?
Thank you so much for your kind words! To answer your question: yes, absolutely! You can purchase a second Locker license on AppSumo and gift it to someone else. Each AppSumo code is independent and can be redeemed by a different person, even if they use a different email address than the one you used for your AppSumo purchase.
When gifting the code, just make sure to share the redemption instructions with the recipient. Once they activate it using their own Locker account (with their email), the code will be tied to them from that point forward.
If you or your recipient run into any issues during the process, don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re always happy to help!
Dear all, I am not clear from the description the following: 1) Is there a dedicated app for iPhone to interact with passwords? 2) Is there a dedicated extension for browser-based password prompts? (i.e. Chrome) 3) The list of features on this page does not match any features that i see on your website page (i.e. https://locker.io/passwords/pricing) To which package does the AppSumo Tier 1 plan compare to? (Personal vs. Business? Premium?) And are all of the listed features there available on this appsumo version? Cheers!
1. Yes, you can download Locker from the Apple App Store. 2. Yes, we support Chrome, Firefox, Edge extension, and more. 3. Tier 1 refers to the Premium Plan, and Tier 2 is the Family Plan, each with their features. Please note that the AppSumo deal does not include the Business Plan.
I was wondering if you'll be releasing a plan that's higher than the Team plan?
If there won't be a plan higher than the Team plan, then if I need more than 15 members, I would need to purchase multiple Team plans under the same account, right?
Unfortunately, we currently don’t have a plan higher than the Team Plan. If you’d like to purchase multiple Team Plans, please do so using separate accounts. Then, email us at support@locker.io, and we’ll help you merge them into one. Thank you!
Sharing a password with another Locker user, without having the password itself being transmitted outside the platform in any way. (I imagine that's what Bryant1 means)
Of course! You can share password with another Locker user or even non-Locker user with our product.
Q: Can Locker add direct scanning to save paperwork instantly in the vault?
the file attachment feature is fantastic for secure document storage! Could Locker add a direct scanning feature to scan paperwork (e.g., IDs, contracts) using the phone camera and store it instantly in the vault? this would streamline the process, avoiding separate scanning apps, and keep files encrypted Any plans for this? Thanks for considering!
A: Thanks for your suggestion! Right now, we’re focusing on polishing the core features and improving user experience. We don’t have plans for a direct scanning feature at the moment, but it’s a good idea and we’ve added it to our backlog for future consideration. Appreciate your input!
1. What is the difference between the Family Plan and the Team Plan (LTD) offered on your website? 2. Does the Team Plan equivalent to the Business Plan on your website? 3. Is it possible to share passwords with our agency team if I purchase tier 2 ? 4. If I purchase Tier 2 from AppSumo: - How much will I have to pay to upgrade to Tier 3? - What will I get after upgrading — the Family Plan, Team Plan, or Business Plan?
1. The Family Plan and Team Plan offer the same set of Personal features. The main difference lies in the number of users: the Family Plan includes up to 6 users, while the Team Plan supports up to 15 users. 2. No. 3. With any plan, you can use the sharing feature, which allows you to share passwords with others, regardless of whether they have a Locker account. 4. When you purchase the Team Plan, the amount you pay will be the Team Plan price minus the amount you previously paid on AppSumo.
1. Will the "Password sharing" feature, which enables secure sharing of credentials with my teams, be included and available in both the Family Plan and Team Plan?
2. Will the "User sync from Google Workspace" feature be excluded from both the Family Plan and Team Plan? Do you provide any tools that will help us sync from Google Workspace manually?
1. Yes. 2. Yes. That feature is only available in the Business Plan and is not included in the Team or Family Plans. Unfortunately, we don't offer a standalone tool for this functionality at the moment. You’re welcome to try out the Business Plan on our website.
Thank you!
Q: Two extensions available on the Chrome Web Store
Hello Locker team,
I noticed that there are two extensions available on the Chrome Web Store:
1 - Locker – Password Manager
2 - [Staging] Locker – Password Manager
Could you please clarify the differences between the two versions? Which one should I use for regular day-to-day use?
Please use version 1: Locker – Password Manager, and disregard version 2: [Staging] Locker – Password Manager. The second one is a development version, and we're currently working with Chrome to have it hidden.
In addition to Locker Password Manager, we also offer Locker Secrets Manager - our alternative to HashiCorp Vault. With just one Locker account, you can access both products seamlessly. For more information, please visit https://locker.io/secrets
