Disappointed - Software Doesn't Work At All one week later
I am a full-time Appsumo Software reviewer. Many of you have seen my videos on my channel LearnWire. I am known for doing completely honest reviews, even if that means that I don't make any affiliate commissions.
When I saw that LongTailPro was on Appsumo I already knew of the software and immediately jumped in at Tier 5. I was excited. Wow, could I really get lifetime access to a tool that has been around for 11 years and has been known for being one of the best keyword research tools on the market?
Well, my experience has been terrible. I have gone through the first week after the purchase with a lot of patience. I have not been able to use the software at all. The software won't even do basic keyword research for me. I have tried in multiple web browsers to make sure that it wasn't just a Chrome thing, no, it doesn't work in Firefox either. I just did a keyword search for "how to repair a sink" and I got this error message "Data wasn’t available for 'how to repair a sink'. In most cases, this is because Google does not provide search volume data for those keywords. Try shortening this term or using a more common phrase."
I have tried several broad, well-known kws and the software keeps giving this error. Before when I got results, the KC scores would not ever update.
Also, I noticed the 10 SERP results were completely off, that none of the sites were even on page 1, so the tool is not accurate at all. Something is MAJORLY wrong with this software and the new ownership.
The final kicker for me is communication and support. I placed a ticket the day I purchased the software a week ago, actually, I placed two tickets, and NEVER got a response back. I also placed my concerns here on Appsumo under questions section and waited days for them to reply to 1 of my comments. And when I saw them doing "blanket" responses, basically giving all questions and users the same canned response, and not getting back to my tickets, oh... and most of all, the software not working at all, This is why I will be getting a full refund.
Main reasons I will be getting refund on my T5 $500 purchase:
*no support
*no communication
*canned responses from customer support, not addressing or actually reading people' issues stated on Appsumo
*KC scores do not work in any browser I tried
* competitor keywords tool didnt work at all, got error messages for this too
*SERP analysis doesn't work at all - blank results, no data
*rank tracker is disabled on 10-17-2022 even after LTP support has stated probably 100 times that they turned it on days ago.
*backlink analysis is still disabled for my $500 account. Too funny. What did I pay for??
* site audit doesn't work at all either.
Summary:
I review and use tools full-time. I almost NEVER leave actual reviews on Appsumo, it is not my model to do this. People find me on YouTube to see my honest reviews. I USUALLY have great experiences with these tools. This LongTailPro experience is by far the WORST experience I have had.

If you have stayed for just a little bit longer..then you would see that all features and tools are now working. We have been hit by "murphy's law" on both data and CRM side of the service, BUT, everything is now resolved and any surprises are being addressed much faster now.
While we appreciate ALL reviews ( good or bad ), it is always fair to at least update a bad review telling that the issue was resolved.
It is our model to work harder and focus on making the service better (despite all the negativity), as we believe that the SUCCESS of everyone who trusted and worked with us til the end, is more than enough reward.
We believe Longtailpro remains as a very effective "trade secret" new entrepreneurs, marketers, SEO enthusiasts and professionals would like to keep for themselves as long as they can.
