Keeping Your Team In The Loop
Loop Email is designed really well for what it does, team collaboration on emails, assigning them to team members and executing them in an organized manner.
Things I like:
- The UI - Loop Email has a really clean interface, exactly what you would expect from a SaaS in 2020
- The UX - navigating around the desktop app is effortless. Everything is at your fingertips and you can take certain actions, such as marking a client as a Favorite.
- I haven't had any issues with deliverability, sending or receiving, and no hiccups in service. Opening and closing the mobile app is extremely responsive and refreshes messages quickly.
What I don't like (and this is is the reason for the ding of 2 tacos):
- The lack of a web app. I have a full-time job and a side hustle that I run on the evenings and weekends. My laptop is work-issued, which means I can't willy-nilly install programs that aren't approved by the company, which means that I have to solely rely on my mobile app to keep tabs on any communications from clients throughout the day and while I do praise the app, it's not nearly as efficient as the desktop app. It feels like a huge loss when you're not able to access the desktop app and the lack of a web app really limits when and where you can access your information. This alone would make this product a 1 taco product in my eyes, the fact that it's so good at what it does is closer to a 4 or 5 taco product.
I see how this is effective for teams for sure, but I would say that there isn't as much use for a soloprenuer. I keep getting emails nagging me about adding more team members (sorry, it's just me bud) and a lot of the tasks are obviously designed around team members in mind, which makes total sense, but I wish there was a way to tweak a few settings and give priority to certain features that would allow me to make Loop Email work best for my individual needs versus the "team's needs".
I would definitely recommend picking this up if you have a team and are okay leaning heavily on the desktop app.
Personally, I put a lot of weight and emphasis on accessibility and the lack of a web app is what makes this a deal breaker for me. A platform such as AppSumo that is largely touting SaaS platforms makes me believe that there should be some component of this deal that I can access whenever, wherever, but that's just not the case.
