As an advanced Photoshop user, I can take some average photos and do wonders with them--but it can take hours. I took some of my originals and then their touched-up versions and then decided to see how long it would take to duplicate the PhotoShop effects with Luminar.

It didn't take long to learn the product (although save, etc. are not obvious), and then it took only minutes to replicate my prior efforts (without brushes, cloning, multiple attempts at the lighting, smoothing, etc.). Plus, I was able to whiten the eyes, change eye color, and add a unique brightness to the iris, plus whiten the teeth--in seconds, not 15 minutes). Plus, blurring the background was amazing--it even worked wonders on group photos. The images had an enhanced "presence" I hadn't achieved before. I was able to replicate and even enhance images that I spent over an hour on--in five minutes. Plus, I could save my settings as a template and apply everything to another photo in the same batch in seconds. Incredible power.

All I can say is... WOW! (and everything I said above).

The pricing for this doesn't seem too much better than their own site (it is better, but it just isn't a killer deal compared to some AppSumo deals, mainly because it isn't SaaS), but it was amazing find. My wife (who is the captain of a salsa team) has a lot of great photos in costume--and I just knocked out some new images and put on her Facebook page while she was asleep (have a cold so got up to "play" with my new software toy). I'll get some brownie points for these!
