So-So, With Potential for Greatness If Copy Improved

First: the good. UI is good and the app works well also, which is rare for smaller companies like this. The concept is very cool and the AI is capable of learning and incorporating things you give it into the future outreach messaging.

The bad: As other reviewers have pointed out, the generated copy just isn't that effective. Cold email is a very competitive space and lots of people are vying for the eyeballs.. and using this formula of "use their company about us in the form of a compliment" (which 80% of the time end up sounding a bit copy and pasted or regurgitive when read) + "what we do" + "ask some question to trigger intrigue" isn't necessarily a winning one.. and it certainly is less likely to be so when the compliments don't sound genuine and there's no really good hook to grab people's attention.

I've already sent a lot of emails, including hand-tuning on nearly all of them to clean them up, and haven't yet gotten a single reply back from anyone. That's just not a good sign at all, especially given that the email I'm using is very mature and has a very high delivery rate.

I am really rooting for this tool to improve and I hope that the founders will improve their copy recipes/strategy to focus on cold email outreach approaches that are proven to work vs. what they have currently, which doesn't really seem to work well at all.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We agree that there is still room for improvement. Thankfully 😉

It simply takes a lot of data to train the AI. We only train the AI with the best examples (emails that have received a positive replay). The data we have received in the last 3 weeks alone through all AppSumo users is many many times more than we have ever had. Due to an incredibly busy product roadmap, we have not yet been able to train the AI with the new data. I am sure that if we do this in the near future, it will already be much better.

Besides that, it is related to several things: in the future we are going to scrape a lot more data about the person and company, which we can use as input for the emails. Also, the AI will learn to better understand when a change you make to the email, applies only to that email, applies to all emails or to a specific uploaded list for example. Other cool features are also coming, such as personal images that you can incorporate into the emails.

We continue to work hard to make Luna the best AI sales assistant in the world 💪
