AppSumo Bundle Volume 3: Mac + iOS Essentials Reviews

For me 2 out of 5 are worth the whole bundle, another 3 is a bonus.

All the apps in this bundle are awesome, but I have to tell you the standout is Willow Voice. Right now I am writing this review with Willow Voice and will not edit it. It is completely amazing how this application is able to structure words from my voice better than anything I've ever used. Total game changer. I would have never found them without AppSumo. Thank you, AppSumo!

This was one of the weakest bundles of the past AI Bundles, none of the tools except Willow is that great and useful.
The others aren't really solving any problems but just a bit better version of what exists.

I will tell you the truth: I am totally excited. It is extremely helpful.

Three of these tools in particular: Willow Flow, CleanShot, and Paste. I didn’t know the tools before, but they really simplified one of my tasks on the Mac and it’s a lot of fun. That was a really great bundle. Thank you very much!

Okay, I bought this deal. I was a little hesitant at the beginning. For me, it was either renewing my CleanShot license for the same price as this bundle or buying the bundle. My regular renewal would have been without the cloud. So this actually was a no-brainer.

But I have to say my CleanShot subscription had run out already a couple of months ago and I was using the free version. So I'm not a real power user, but I love it.

Then I had been using a voice dictation app called Whisper Flow for one year. That was pretty cool, but I hadn't renewed it because it's very expensive. I switched to VoiceInc and wasn't that happy. It did its job, but it was pretty slow. So I'm very excited that Willow is pretty fast currently. I know they're experiencing some hallucinations with their upstream provider, but apart from that, I'm happy about the purchase because it is speed wise on par with Whisper Flow at least on the Mac.

It's lacking an iOS application, but as I read in the comments here, that's coming soon. Whisper Flow already has that out, and even VoiceInc has an iOS integration, so I'm looking forward to that because I love it to dictate on my phone and use the keyboard replacement with integrated voice dictation. Apart from that temporary drawback, I would also wish that Willow had some integrations like Whisper Flow for Cursor, or maybe I have overlooked it because with Whisper Flow, I could tag files in Cursor, so it was helpful for vibe coding and context aware. That would be really great... then I probably would stay on.

The regular price for Willow is still as high as Whisper Flow, I think. So either Willow adjusts it's regular pricing to be a little cheaper because it has less features, or I would return to Whisper Flow given the choice. But maybe, they actually upgrade their capabilities to match or overtake... that would be another story.

By the way, I would like to have an option in Willow to position the recording indicator not at the top at my notch, but at the bottom of the screen, somewhere more visible like in Whisper Flow, because the notch at the top (I'm using Top Notch, a little app that makes the whole menu bar black) is really not showing up very prominent in that combination.

For the other apps, they're like little goodies. I'm going to try them. I'm most excited about Pasted, but apart from that, I'm not sure if I need them.
