In the last 2 years, since building Macanta as a stand-alone platform, yours is only the second request for VOIP functionality.
At this stage, unless there is high demand for it, it is unlikely to get to the top of our priorities in the near future.

You had call functionality with call recording and you stripped away that function?

I'm desperate to find a way to track the performance of my sales team and a call tracking functionality is exactly what i was looking for.
I was looking to compare for example vendor A with vendor B based on the number of sales closed and on time spent on the phone.
I know, it sounds crazy, but developing software is always a set of compromises.
The additional work to migrate the call functionality we had, to the new version of Macanta was and is substantial. Comparing that to out initial set of minimum requirements for a stand-alone product, and the fact that we've had almost no requests for it, led us to leave it on the back-burner.
We build what our users asks, for. If we have enough desire, then we can allocate energy, time and resources to it.
I understand but the call functionality is really a business of your business thing.
How do you guys handle internally the calling of prospect and tracking performances?

Yes, I understand, and it will make its way back into the app at some stage, I am sure.
We don't do outbound sales calls. All calls are scheduled and via video.
These are tracked on Opportunities.
You could integrate something like AirCall with a Chrome Extension to make calling easier. As for the tracking, that will depend on the end solution and what exactly you want to track.

I'm talking abut calling leads who requested more informations.
Ok you track them on Opportunities but the question is how do you track sales people performances? (number of sales closed vs time spent on phone).

Yes, right now we don't track sales closed / time on calls etc..
Please add VOIP add-on. Once it's done, it will be a complete CRM solution.
It is not a trivial piece of work Ida.
We will review it again when we have worked our way through more frequently requested features.
