More cons than pros
I've been using this for over a little than 2 months.
Summary: not worth it, go for an established cold email software
Pros:
1. warmup really good no problems
Cons
1. Speed to lead is virtually impossible (because notifications are not instant, it says refreshes every 15 minutes, but i've gotten notifications the next day)
2. All replies do not show up in the unibox (which means the campaign still continues sending out, even when the lead replied, and I look like a idiot)
3. Support also nonexistant
4. Doesn't support "unusual" languages in the unibox, for example If I receieve a reply "Jā man interesē" What I would see is "J man interes" same goes for other languages.
5. Their inbuilt automation software also not good and doesn't support obvious features (For example you want to recieve a notification to slack what lead replied with the reply message, that's not possible, just recieve the sender email and some other stuff except the reply.)

So much promise, but a disappointment so far
I'm having the same SMTP issues described by other users here. I have Namecheap hosting (cPanel email via addon domains) which is successfully connected to Apollo.io, Instantly.ai, SalesBlink, Around Deal, and SalesProphet. I've been running campaigns on all five platforms w/o problems, but apparently "Namecheap is the problem" according to Mailead. Namecheap identified the problem, which I relayed to Mailead ... but, Mailead kept saying Namecheap was the problem. Mailead claimed to reproduce my setup on Namecheap and sent emails w/o problems. I never told them what my exact setup was at the time, and they never showed me proof that they sent campaigns. Hopefully they can get their act together soon b/c the platform looks like it could have promise. So far, it's a big waste of money

Our team has been in close contact with you and did everything we could to help, even setting up a Namecheap test environment on our end. While we didn’t have your exact setup, we still managed to reproduce a similar flow and send successfully.
As we've noted both in-app and in our community, SMTP connections - especially with providers like Namecheap - are often unstable, which is why we don’t recommend them for reliable cold outreach.
That said, we’re not ignoring the issue. We’ve launched a focused 6-8 week sprint to improve connection stability, deliverability, DNS setup, and more. We’ve also posted detailed updates in the community about what we’re fixing and when.
We appreciate you being an early user, and we’re working hard to make Mailead the stable, high-performing platform you expected.

Not ready for primetime
I had this as part of my marketing strategy for 2025, unfortunately it isn't ready for prime time.
Issues:
1. It randomly deletes contacts. I've had campaigns with X amount of contacts and then all of the sudden the next time I go in there, there are zero contacts, and it prompts me to load contacts to my campaign.
2. Issues adding email accounts. Keeps telling me the SMTP info is wrong, yet I copied and pasted it right from Zoho, and the other accounts for that domain set up just fine with the same info?
3. Email gets blocked with no recommendation on how to fix the issue
4. Support is extremely slow. I've filed multiple tickets, most I don't get a response on, the ones I have it takes days. Frustratingly slow.
I'm disappointed this didn't work. Hopefully they can resolve the issues.

Your ticket has been sent over to our engineering team for review and will be receiving a platform update soon regarding the contacts disappearing from the front end.
SMTP related issues are being resolved with a large platform wide update coming in a few weeks, however we even mention inside the platform that we don't recommend using SMTP as we've seen a large uptick in disconnections made by the host.
A platform enhancement we made a week ago or so surrounding notifications should have emailed you an alert with reasons and solutions as to why a recipient might have blocked an email from you. If you didn't receive this alert email please let us know so we can look into that as well.

Cold email outreach
I consider it a good platform for email sending, although it is still relatively new. I feel it has great potential for improvement. The email warm-up feature is not as efficient as other platforms and could be improved. However, if you use Apollo for cold email outreach, Mailead can be a good alternative.
