Simple and Powerful
I'm pretty new to cold emailing, but so far, Mailead is simple, powerful, and robust with features compared to the other options we were looking into. It's an impressive deal for the price. I'll update with more details as I test the software more!

Free unlimited email warming
So I bought this just because we can add unlimited emails and free email warming done. Most tools cap you on the number of email accounts you can have but this one is unlimited. Its HUGE in my opinion.

Unfortunately currently not usable when you have somewhat advanced needs
I have used multiple outreach products over the years. Started with Lemlist, then switched everything over to Instantly and considering switching to Mailead to save costs.
For someone with basic needs, eg someone just testing out cold emails Mailead might work out fine. However, if you have only slightly advanced needs you unfortunately won't get far. And support has not replied for about 3 days.
My concrete issues:
- Can't use a table in an email signature. I want this to have nice formatting. Doesn't work by pasting html code either. For now I'd be willing to overlook this
- Can't import a variable with formatting. I am generating basically a whole email outside of Mailead (with an LLM) since the automations are not there yet. No matter which import I use, I won't be able to get the formatting (with CSV it kills the formatting during import, with Sheets automation import it shows the right formatting in the lead section, but not in email text)
- Blacklist: No way to see if the blacklist imported is actually in the format that is accepted by mailead and also no message that it checked blacklist while importing.
I'd be willing to give Mailead a chance and would really like to work with it, but for now it just is not reliable enough :(
Edit since I can't reply to comment: I genuinely have not heard back from support. Maybe there is an issue with Intercom but my support message shows as not seen yet.
With regards to the rest: I get where you are coming from and I am willing to find work arounds and work with a somewhat clunky product and definitely will give it a chance in about a months time (and happy to change my review if possible then), but for now that's honest feedback that I as a purchaser would have loved to know before putting time into it. Especially not being able to have formatting inside imported variables no matter how I imported them is a major issue, that for my use case does make this product not useable at this time.

Dec 8, 2024Hey Stephan - I really appreciate this, and we’ll take this “feedback” and try and find what we can implement going forward, but I wanted to highlight two things: 1) when you wrote this it was Saturday night. I checked to see if we had any support tickets that were outside of our 24-48 business hour window and there wasn’t any. I do have a Stephan in our support that came in Friday which was only...

Upgrading to Tier 5 has been a game-changer, as it includes access to the CRM
As a user of Mailead, I’ve found it to be an exceptional tool for cold email outreach. Its seamless integration with TaskMagic has been particularly beneficial, allowing me to automate workflows and connect with over 200 apps and webhooks, which has significantly streamlined my processes.
The platform’s cold outreach capabilities are impressive. With features like unlimited mailboxes and AI-generated email sequences, I’ve been able to launch campaigns effortlessly and track their performance using the built-in analytics. The email warm-up infrastructure has also enhanced my deliverability rates, ensuring my messages reach the intended recipients.
Mailead’s user-friendly interface makes setting up and managing campaigns straightforward. The AI-powered personalization and response management features have allowed me to categorize leads based on their interest levels, streamlining follow-ups and improving sales opportunities.
Upgrading to Tier 5 has been a game-changer, as it includes access to the CRM. This feature has enabled me to organize and manage leads more effectively by segmenting, tracking, and automating outreach, which has streamlined my sales pipeline and boosted my sales efforts.
Overall, Mailead has been a valuable asset in optimizing my cold email outreach, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their lead generation efforts.

Test-drove thoroughly, on the fence about keeping
Purchased a Tier I license to test out the Mailead platform.
SUMMARY: Overall, I was able to connect multiple email inboxes, create a sequence campaign and send it out successfully. I have experienced several issues, however, and my overall opinion is that I do not feel confident relying 100% on this tool yet for cold outreach.
Here's what occurred:
✅ INITIAL SETUP - I completed the initial setup of my account successfully
✅ CONNECTING MAILBOXES - I connected two (Google Workspace) email inboxes successfully
✅ AUTOMATED WARMING - I enabled mailbox warming on each mailbox successfully
As a result, I began to see warming emails arrive in each inbox (and get sent out as well).
My understanding is that warming is done automatically between mailboxes belonging to other users of Mailead.
A few red flags 🚩🚩 for me about the warming:
• Several accounts encountered during warming were @gmail addresses (and not associated with a custom domain). These accounts had no visible data about an actual business name.
• Out of those using custom domains, a quick check of these showed 2 half-built/incomplete sites, 1 parked domain, 2 invalid domains (no website) and only one real, fully functional website.
My concern is that successful email warming may depend largely on the legitimacy of the businesses participating in it. If Mailead allows anyone and everyone on the platform, those who will use it to spam could result in providers starting to recognize and flag email mailboxes participating in Mailead's warming. This has been an issue with other similar platforms in the past.
✅ CAMPAIGN CREATION - I was able to create a 4-email campaign sequence successfully
✅ CONTACT IMPORT - I added several contacts through the Manual Upload tool, which seems to accept only First Name, Last Name and Email (and no other fields). I did not try the bulk upload method, but I would assume that this would allow you to upload additional fields (like Company, Company Website).
✅ CAMPAIGN SENDING - I was able to send a test campaign, using multiple email addresses of mine as contacts.
The emails were sent successfully using the IMAP connection to the connected Google Workspace mailboxes.
I did encounter the following issues:
❓EMAIL SIGNATURE FEATURE NOT WORKING - I set up email signatures directly in Mailead for each mailbox, but these were not added to any of my outgoing emails. I tried the support chatbot, which recommended I ensure that the “send emails as text-only (no HTML)” checkbox was disabled, which I did. Still, the signature was not added to outgoing emails.
❓UNIBOX NOT WORKING - Unibox is described as the central location for any responses you receive to your campaign emails. I tested this several times by responding to various campaign emails, but none of these showed up in the Unibox.
There is Support documentation available, but this was not sufficient to resolve the issues I encountered.
I do have some additional concerns:
❓LACK OF DIRECT SUPPORT - There is no visible place to submit a support ticket. The Intercom chat widget provides AI support first, then connects with an agent if needed. 3 hrs later and no response by a chat agent.
❓CANNOT ADD CONTACTS TO AN ALREADY-ACTIVE CAMPAIGN - Once a campaign has started, it is not currently possible to add additional contacts to it.
❓TYPOS THROUGHOUT PLATFORM AND DOCUMENTATION - While this is not a usability problem, it is a sign that the platform is likely in its early stages and probably has a small team
❓CANNOT MANUALLY MARK CONTACTS AS “VERIFIED” - I already verified all contacts using Million Verifier before import, but all of these now say “Email Verification Status > Not verified yet” with no way to change this.
CONCLUSION: This tool does successfully deliver the basic function for which it is needed: smoothly sending outbound emails using email mailboxes. That being said, I do not consider this platform stable/dependable enough to rely on over its larger, more established competitors yet.
I very much appreciate the work that goes into launching a tool like this, and I do hope the developers continue to strengthen and expand it into the future.
In terms of cost, a company could very easily make their money back on the highest tier very quickly if they are able to replace their monthly cold outreach platform costs with a Mailead LTD.
For now, I will continue to test it out but it is unlikely that we will be using it as our primary tool for outbound at this time.

Dec 5, 2024Hey jeremy (again love that). Appreciate this in depth review! The only thing I’d add is how warm up WORKS…so during warm up it sends to other email accounts tjay are currently in warmup (from other maileaders) so whatever accounts they connect and put into warmup. These don’t necessarily have to be custom domains. Just fyi. They can be free gmails. I’ll document the rest of these things for you...
