Excellent Addition To Wordpress

If you're looking for a (fairly) simple autoresponder without having to pay monthly fees, Mailpoet is it.

I started using autoresponders in the early 2000's (I still have the original T-Shirt MailChimp gave to new customers for free).

Since then I've been through most of them, and most of them are perfectly good. However, the cost of maintaining a monthly subscriber list becomes prohibitive over time unless you're constantly earning from it.

Which, for a newsletter, is not always a good idea (I use newsletters to keep my members happy - not to spam the hell out of them).

And Mailpoet does ALL I need in that respect. I'm also about to use it to drip feed weekly and monthly sequences to specific segments of my who request and show an interest in something I'm doing.

And on top of that, I will be setting up sequences for members of various training groups I run. All of this I checked out first can be done.

So far I've set up a double-optin form through ThriveThemes (which has a direct API integration - JOY) and have got a 76% open rate and a 60% click-through rate on the link I use in the Welcome email. These are GREAT stats (it was my first big worry - would Mailpoet deliver?).

I've successfully (and very easily) imported my first list (403 contacts) in about a millionth of a second (it took about 30 seconds to check the fields before I hit the import button. Impressive.

My next worry (because of some of the negative reviews) is this spam thing. But to be fair, I'm not worried. Everyone on my imported list has opened previous emails from me in the last month. So I don't expect anyone to hit the spam button. And if they do, and there are any consequences, I know from Bruna (who has already answered a few questions from me super fast) that I will be OK.

If anything bad happens, I will come back and change my review. But right now, having stacked the whole 10, I'm delighted.
