Q: Mailpoet on AppSumo is definitely something to take notice of.

Frankly, if not for the fact that this was a well established plugin with 100K+ installs from the repo I would have passed as Unlimited Websites and emails with sending service does not sound sustainable. And I am not too worried about the Ban Hammer as I very CLOSELY monitor my clients, I remove the subscriber import/export menu options. MailPoet does not have all the latest automation features but has a solid newsletter sending feature, awesome delivery record and decent editor.

What I cannot get past is how you handled the jump from your old 2.0 to new 3.0 plugin and just dropped a major feature for absolutely no stated reason other than "we discussed it and decided not to support it". It can't be to limit capacity because you already have unlimited websites and emails. It is not a technical issue because there are fixes and hacks out there in the wild. Multisite is well established and very stable, can't be support issues? You even claimed it as a major feature back in the day https://www.mailpoet.com/blog/multisite-newsletter/

To me, it speaks to commitment to those who support you by purchasing your product and spreading the word, or maybe lack of commitment? What happens when you go from 3.0 to 4.0, would you drop another feature or walk back an AppSumo feature or promise?

Please consider fixing the issue (which is also a privacy and security issue) or at least put it on your roadmap. Doing that would show true commitment and I for one would max-stack the taco sauce out of it... the Sumolings would rise up and make this an AP all time seller! Without this, hard pass.

The Agency, WaaS'ers, Freelancers and FB LTDer's are watching and waiting for your answer (hint: please don't give the cut/paste answer we've all read up to this point).

A: Hello sumo-ling!

Thank you for the honest feedback.

We didn't just drop a major feature for no reason. Unfortunately, we started to face this unexpected issue in a specific version of MailPoet 3 and by that time we had other priorities.

MultiSite installs were 5% percent of our customers on MailPoet 2 and around 3% on MailPoet 3.

As you may have noticed, we receive a lot of feedback and feature requests all the time. This said, our small team of 13 people tends to prioritize tools for the majority, and, unfortunately, it means that fixing this specific issue for MultiSite install is not one of them.

I was about to purchase until I read "Multisite is not supported" in the WordPress repository.

Unfortunately, I'm in the process of moving the rest of my sites to multisite to make them easier to manage. I guess that's a no-go for me, sadly.

What's the issue exactly? Only *I* will be managing lists on said multisite installs, if that helps. Most other plugins even if they don't officially support multisite still work...

Hi, does this mean that I cannot activate it on a subsite in a multisite installation?
I can understand there will not be network settings but what is not supported? Is there a license I would need to add for each site?

MailPoet works on MS. We just don't support it officially. If you run into issues with it, our support team will not follow through!

Mailpoet 3 can be activated on a multisite, but it will not be very useful if more than one site on your network has it activated because it will show the SAME SUBSCRIBERS for ALL SUB-SITES. We ran into this issue while using Mailpoet 3 for a few of our WaaS clients on our network and it was unfortunate to discover this after the fact.

Mailpoet 3 is an amazing plugin for sending emails, but it is definitely NOT set up for multisite and you should not be saying that it will work there either.
