MailRushmore
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's been awhile since we've had a decent cold email offering through AppSumo. The only one that really stands out to me is Outplay. And I'm not counting tools that serve one purpose and "also have cold email outreach" built-in.
So MailRush is a warm welcome in this category! And I think this a very viable candidate in this space thus far.
What impressed me most is the UX. Getting up and running was very intuitive, heck, the first thing you're faced with are the DNS records - and boy are there are number of them - but that's a good thing. When these types of services begin to skimp on covering the bases, a lot of the onus is on you to make sure you're exhibiting safe emailing practices (I think it's time we had "The Talk").
See, when an email marketer and a lead love each other VERY much, something beautiful happens...business!
Speaking of business, let's get down to it, shall we??
So what do I like about MailRush? As I already stated, it's very easy to jump right in. Before you know it, you're setting up your first campaign. What I really love is the ability to upload a CSV file that contains the pertinent information to run said campaign. Mind you, you can only have 10 labels, for each campaign, but I think that's plenty honestly. It's a cold outreach email after all, you don't want to send true stalker vibes...yet. From there, you can insert the labels/personalization tags inside your email, but even better than that, they have "content spinning" which is like A/B testing/variable content that you dictate, beyond labels, such that you can say {Matthew from Sapphire Wolf | Sapphire Wolf, but you can call me Matthew} and make the content feel fresh, unique and dynamic for every recipient so you're not using stale copy every time.
The sequencing is moderately decent. You're not going to get crazy granularity out of it, but once again, for COLD outreach, it's adequate. One thing to note, as was my first impression, is that there is seemingly no way to change any of the sending details, such as time and frequency when setting up your sequence - fret not! It comes AFTER you exit the campaign setup, just go to the three dot menu next to the campaign and it's all right there, and then some!
What I do like is how easy it is to control, organize, and create your campaigns. These aren't massive e-commerce marketing efforts, so you don't need a massive flashy system, you just need it to work, be intutive, and do what it says on the tin - and that's what you're getting from MailRush.
I suck at being concise, so...to be continued!
