Q: Does this software differentiate from the sender opening a sent email and the recipient?
It seems as though it's counting the times I am re-opening the email as well.
Open counts also seem very very high..... Possibly counting certain opens multiple times.
Can you explain when and how the open rate is triggered?

To provide some context, at the time you wrote this message, MailVibes had some bugs related to email tracking which caused some inaccuracies in open counts. However, I'm happy to inform you that we've resolved these issues and email tracking is now working correctly.
Regarding your specific question, MailVibes does not trigger the tracking pixel if you open the email yourself on a laptop, but it will count the open if you're using a phone, as well as if someone else opens the email. It's possible that in the past, the tracking pixel was triggered multiple times for the same open, which could have led to inflated open counts.
