Q: With a single code, could you explain possible use cases as to why I might use 30 databases with 10 websites?
When setting up Wordpress sites, I thought they only required just one database per site. Thanks.

There are several use cases as to why one might need more than 1 database per domain. The main reason being that we offer unlimited subdomains per domain. So for example, if you wanted to install several instances of WordPress on multiple subdomains, you would need a new database for each installation. Of course, WordPress is not the only PHP app that would require a database, so if you were to install several different apps on subdomains, that require their own databases, the same would apply.
