I will admit that I was reluctant to pull the trigger on buying a web hosting LTD through Appsumo. I had heard the nightmare stories about other web hosting lifetime deals and wanted to avoid having one myself.

But I am a website developer and marketer, and I need some inexpensive hosting for a few personal projects. I looked at several web hosting LTD deals and chose MakersHost because I liked that it was being run by people who have had previous experience in the web hosting industry.

So I took the plunge and purchased a single code in early November 2001 and so far like the results. I have set up several sites and for the past five weeks, I have been monitoring them using Netumo (another great Appsumo LTD!) and none of the sites have gone down.

I have also run some speed tests on a WordPress site using the barebones Socrates theme and it produced excellent 90+ speeds using GTMetrix and Google Page Insights.

MakersHost uses its own admin panel, which is very similar to the industry-standard cPanel. It took me less than five minutes to figure it out. I was able to quickly set up websites and email accounts and forwarding.

I had to look hard to find problems and the only minor issue I could find was it took some time for tech support to get back to me. I host my client websites on Siteground and I am used to getting an almost instant response using Siteground's chat support, but for the price, I cannot complain. I am sure that MakersHost will get better as it grows.

So overall, I can recommend and give 5 tacos to MakersHost, especially to other developers and marketers who are experienced with web hosting and setting up websites.
