Technically, you can use the platform for any topic, but it will return results based on that topic in the US SERP. So it wouldn't be optimized for the German SERP.
We know how important additional languages are to the community and have plans to incorporate them. We do not want to simply feed a basic model or algo with the top 20-50 SERP items and expect the model to work appropriately across different language sets. As we consider tens of thousands of pieces of content for each recommendation and use proprietary models, it would be a disservice to our customers and the advice we provide to deviate from our commitment to data quality excellence.

Thanks for the answer, much appreciated. A concrete timeline if / until when you plan to incorporate German would be very helpful. Currently using frase and interested in using your service, but no German would sadly be a dealbreaker for me.
I totally understand. Unfortunately, the German language is not on our roadmap https://trello.com/b/kcRrjdcS/marketmuse-roadmap so I can't give you any definite answer on when MarketMuse would support the German language. It wouldn't be fair to speculate either, so I will refrain from doing so.
