Incredibly Powerful Research Tool for Content Creators
Hey fellow Sumolings. I wanted to share my thoughts on MM with you if you're thinking about buying the LTD.
I was on the fence for a while, watching all the reviews, questions, and the webinar. Before I jump into my review and thoughts, let me preface this with my use case, so that it may make more sense to you. I run my own solo law practice (and I also do affiliate marketing), so local small business.
For years, I've felt that I put out more content, and better content than my competitiors, yet none of it ranked. No traffic, and I didn't have the budget to do paid ads. So I continue plugging away with blog posts and lead magnets.
Only recently did it all start making sense to me. I jumped on the Frase deal, and it wasn't until recently that I really figured out how to maximize Frase for me. So when MM appeared on AppSumo, I was wondering whether it would help me alongside Frase, make Frase useless, or be a tool that I don't use. It's a fair comparison, since both position themselves as tools to help you create more rich content, and thus rank higher.
I decided to get the LTD after all my research. When I first got into my MM dashboard, it felt really overwhelming compared to Frase. Each of the functions (Optimize, Research, Compete, Questions, Connect) is it's own app. I decided to plug in a post I previously optimized in Frase, and MM spit back lots of good long tail KWs to add to my content.
I decided to run a questions search, and again, it spit back some really good, relevant queries.
I see MM being a great tool to use in conjunction with Frase (or Blogely - haven't tried this yet, or any of the other AI research/writing tools). The methodolgy is what sets MM apart. Frase aggregates the data from the top 20 search results and reveals keywords you need to include (in addition to questions being used, etc). The problem I found with this is that the content from my top 20 competitors is trash - go ahead and search for lawyers near you and let me know how often you get back good content). It's often generic, blah posts, so Frase is somewhat encouraging me to do the same. MM, on the other hand, really sticks true to its "high-fidelity topic" output, meaning the KWs it gives back are highly relevant to my topic (Compete), and does well to improve my content. Whereas my competitors are just stuffing "bankruptcy lawyer in new york" and "experienced bankruptcy attorney" in a piece of content, MM gives me topics that are connected with the keyword, like "what questions should I ask a bankruptcy lawyer."
I haven't played around with the connect function just yet. Credit weren't something I was concerned with (though I plan on using them for pillar content). Moving forward, I see my workflow being create a first draft in Frase, and then optimizing that draft in MM. So if you're on the fence, if it's in your budget, definitely go for it (at least 3 codes).
