Lengthy review... because I am heavily using this!

I operate roughly a dozen websites, all of which perform better when content is regularly added. Content creation is the lifeblood of my business.
That means I regularly need fresh ideas to expand each site's authority. And I launch a new site once or twice per year... requiring a complete content plan (say 30-50 planned pages) at the very beginning of that process.
Market research and topic research are foundational to the way I've designed my online business. I can't do it without great tools, so I am constantly watching the development landscape.
After a week inside this particular LTD, I wanted to write this review. It's abnormal for me to write up a review, and unheard of for me to go into this much depth.
I'm taking the time to do this because I have expertise at content creation. If you do too, or just know that it's important to get there, this review is for you.
The Short Version
My perspective is based on the things I've just told you about my work. You'll want to remember that not all content creators are working toward the same ends.
I awarded 5 tacos based SOLELY on the monthly queries and the apps that those power. The credit system of MarketMuse is not "LTD stuff" and so I excepted it from scoring.
My Detailed Review
Until MarketMuse came to Appsumo, I'd not seriously considered subscribing. That's no knock against them.
i still have the shoestring mentality of a freelancer, so I buy "deals" and then use them. I know I'm not alone here.
This deal surprised me. I'm just happy that a SaaS of this level can use an Appsumo LTD to broaden its user base and gather input.
Before I bought any codes, I reached out to co-founder Jeff Coyle with some questions. I wanted to determine if he was more developer or more content creator.
No disrespect to developers but, when they roll out a product just to fill a market need, it often has no soul. I want the owner to be a person who feels my pains. Jeff is steeped in content creation and it gives MarketMuse a meaningful edge.
Inside the SaaS
It has a clean straightforward interface. I've never felt lost or confused. It renders equally well on my desktop and iPad.
Apps
If you haven't tried the Research app yet, it's a real treat. The variant info is golden (and included in the export sheet.
On even head keywords, I got enough data to plan FAQs, categories, pillar pages, listicles and roundups. It's not "research" in the sense that you're learning the subject, mind you. But if you pop some of those terms into something like Frase/Blogely, you'll be ready to draft content in no time!
Are you OK juggling a couple of tools? I am.
Anyway, after you have draft content, I'd come back the MarketMuse and use the Optimize app to get it ready for publication. It's a pro-level tool that suggests things you'll need to establish authority.
As you will see, you're not going to get a high content score from the app unless you work at it. No magic wand, of course. Because good content takes some work. (more below)
