Worth It Just For Optimize

I thought I'd never see MarketMuse on AppSumo!

I was an early adopter of MarketMuse, 5 years ago or so, when they were only offering Enterprise plans. And yes, I paid Enterprise type pricing in the hundreds of dollars every month for their platform.

Despite seeing excellent ranking benefits, it was just too expensive for my entrepreneurial pursuits and I dropped it after a year. But not after having several phone calls with the team complaining that there are a lot of solopreneurs and entrepreneurs that could absolutely benefit from MM, and recommending they modify their platform to accomodate us.

Fast forward to today, MM has released a great platform that looks great for an entrepreneur. Pricing is still fairly steep, but at AppSumo pricing, it's an absolute steal.

The plans offered may not match what we typically see on AppSumo, but this is also a very mature company with kick a$$ technology that's been doing this a while. They've taken Enterprise grade technology and brought it to the smaller players.

What did I get? 10 stack, no hesitation!

Some concerns I initially had:

1) copy/paste and export was not available on the AppSumo plan. Jeff fixed it.
2) Content Briefs are on a non-renewing Credit System.
3) Only 1 website

Why did I buy with the non-renewing Credits?
After I thought about it, when I originally subscribed to them 4 years ago, I had really only used the Optimizer. And that alone helped me rank my articles. They didn't have Content Briefs available when I was originally with them. So in my situation, the AppSumo deal is worth it just for the Optimizer.

Icing on top of the cake are 1) Questions (add to posts) and 2) Connect (I see most value for external linking). These use Queries, not Credits, which I'm finding more and more use cases for them.

The Credits I got I'm considering as a bonus. My plan is to use them sparingly for First Drafts (2 credits) on my most important Posts.

Why did I buy with only 1 Website included?
This one still bothers me. I would have greatly preferred that for every code that you got an additional website. But as Jeff mentioned, it really only impacts Connect (for internal linking). I don't plan to use MM for internal linking, so after thinking about it, it's really a non-issue for me. Why it still bothers me though is what if one day in the future I do want to use it for internal linking? I'll be bummed we didn't get more sites as part of the AppSumo deal.

What about Frase?
I max stacked Frase too. Originally I was going to refund it, but now I plan to keep it and use the two together in content creation and updating. For an entrepreneur, I think it's a winning combo for the money.

In summary, I thought I'd never get the chance to get MarketMuse as part of a lifetime deal. It's a no-brainer and the team that runs it are some of the best people you'd ever want to do business with.

As of now, this ranks in the Top 3 of the best lifetime deals I've ever bought.

Hey Sumo-ling, thanks for the 5-taco review.

And welcome back to MarketMuse! We've worked hard over the last 5 years, not only to improve the platform but to make it accessible to more people. I'm glad you took advantage of the AppSumo deal.

About the domain issue... We hear you and the rest of the AppSumo community. Currently, we're looking at ways to improve our flexibility regarding this. No updates at this time, but the AppSumo community will be the first to know!
