Q: Hi Kenney, A few questions: 1.

How do you compare to Bookfunnel?

2. From reading about the distribution of ARCs, it appears that the author will get the email addresses and the reviews either at the end of the distribution period or during. is eBookFairs integrated with any autoresponders so that these reviewers could be added to a mailing list? If not, do you plan on doing this?

3. I am an author assistant and aspiring author. I'd like to be able to take advantage of this service before I start publishing my own books. Is that possible?

4. I saw in a reply to a question that you suggested we could have authors buy this deal. How else are you making money apart from authors' subscriptions? (I'm asking to make sure you'll be sustainable longterm.)

5. Categories - do you plan to include other categories/sub-categories, e.g. clean romance and historical romance?

6. How long has eBookFairs been around, and what is the experience of the team behind it?

7. Would you say you are better suited for newer authors, or for both new and established authors? I saw some covers that suggest the authors are pretty new to the scene. 😊

Looking forward to your reply!

A: Okay thanks that's a lot of questions.

1. How do you compare to Bookfunnel?
Our book fairs are very different from Bookfunnel and ARC's are a simplified version of what they offer.

2. From reading about the distribution of ARCs, it appears that the author will get the email addresses and the reviews either at the end of the distribution period or during. is eBookFairs integrated with any autoresponders so that these reviewers could be added to a mailing list?
It is not integrated with mail responders but the list should be easy to upload.

If not, do you plan on doing this?
If other users want it and we can get momentum around a specific provider we would consider it.

3. I am an author assistant and aspiring author. I'd like to be able to take advantage of this service before I start publishing my own books. Is that possible?
You can use the ARC's but not the book fairs prior to publishing.

4. I saw in a reply to a question that you suggested we could have authors buy this deal. How else are you making money apart from authors' subscriptions? (I'm asking to make sure you'll be sustainable longterm.)
We are also a publishing house and have about 500 authors and around 1000 books in our backlist.

5. Categories - do you plan to include other categories/sub-categories, e.g. clean romance and historical romance?
We have tons of categories (far more than most marketing sites). The good news is we can add more at any point in time.

6. How long has eBookFairs been around, and what is the experience of the team behind it?
eBookFairs was launched in March of 2021. The team behind it has over 25 years of experience each in online platforms. You can check out my LInkedIn here https://www.linkedin.com/in/kenneymyers. This system is state of the art using the latest and greatest Microsoft tools and living in the Azure cloud.

7. Would you say you are better suited for newer authors, or for both new and established authors?
Realistically newer or less established authors generally are the ones that need the most help getting the word out about their books. We provide a unique way to do that.

I saw some covers that suggest the authors are pretty new to the scene. 😊 Looking forward to your reply!

Hi Kenney,

Thanks for your reply.

In response to my question about using the service prior to publishing, you said that I could use the ARCs but not the book fairs. I don't understand how I would use the ARCs before publishing, unless it is with authors I work with, which was why I asked the question in the first place. According to this question and your answer, that would be ok: https://appsumo.com/products/marketplace-ebookfairs/questions/im-very-interested-in-this-but-im-not-561065/

"Great question! We have a similar question come up often with publishers that want to create fairs to feature their authors. As a very important resource for authors, you can definitely create an account and create as many fairs as you would like. It is true that authors would need to be members as well to submit their books. They could either grab this deal or participate in the regular subscription. This is such a great question, thank you!"

What am I missing/not understanding?
