Do you mean having something like a widget that allows you to search through the articles? Or do you want to include the whole website into your website?
We're currently building a new product called tinydub (https://tinydub.com) that will allow you to do exactly that. It works nicely with eniston (we already use the current version for our help widget: https://cloud.ivymayhem.io/nRWJ66pz). There will be a big discount for existing eniston customers once we launch it.
Q: Can we embed or insert any html code?
Hello. I believe we can setup our own "knowledge base" website using our own custom domain. But is there any section where we can insert any html code ? I want to insert a widget into the website using a html code that I have .
Right now, it's only possible to embed html code into an article via iframe. If you want to add a global widget to your knowledge base, you can add a custom script via the "Integrations" settings (https://eniston.io/base/integrations).
Is there no way to add multiple users via CSV Import? Under the team management section, the only way to add users is to invite them one at a time. This is extremely time consuming and arduous, especially when you have over 100 users.
We currently have no option to invite / add backend users via CSV import. It would be a nice addition though and I will make sure this is added in one of the next updates.
I came to you because I am a buyer of notice.studio and I received a message about the breach of the agreement. They now want to charge the sumolings. How do you prepare yourself so that you don't have the same attitude after the agreement? Is your company serious and stable?
I don't know what this means: "How do you prepare yourself so that you don't have the same attitude after the agreement?". What happened with "notice.studio"?
But our company (https://ivymayhem.io) is serious and stable, yes. We are a very small team, running multiple platforms, so I feel obliged to mention that while we regularly update our platforms and add new features, we're not as fast as big teams shipping new features.
Sorry, Andreas, my message was never intended to question your company. I just need to formally express my concern about acquiring a new deal, which is meant to replace a deal I already purchased before on AppSumo. Today, I received a message that they are changing the deal to charge the Sumolings monthly because they were unable to keep the company financially healthy.
Got it, thanks for clarifying. We won't do that, don't worry. All our platforms are essentially paying for themselves (without AppSumo), we have multiple income streams into the company and we're a small team with not too many expenses.
Q: New editor & API
Hey,
I've read in the comments about the new editor (which was planned for the end of February if I've seen it correctly). Also inside Eniston it's statet to be finished to 95% inside one changelog entry. How's the current status about it? I've some articles to create and it probably makes sense to do this in the new editor.
Another question... Are there plans to extend the API functionality to be able to create and upate articles too? Would love to automate some of my technical documentations.
Ah well, the new editor... 🫠 We had a fully functional, custom editor based on TipTap up and running but we were having problems extending existing plugins and also writing custom plugins that we needed / wanted. We then implemented another (better) third-party solution that was easier to extend and that's what we plan to ship soon.
So yeah, we lost a lot of time because of this. Maybe in a future update we will resume working on the fully custom editor, but for now, a better third-party solution should do it (hopefully).
Yes, we still plan to offer a POST API. But we'll be working on multiple languages (categories and articles in different languages) before that and also improve the auto-save functionality for articles.
There's a lot of stuff planned, but we don't make enough money yet to hire another developer.
thanks for the honest feedback! In my opinion, slow and sustainable is exactly the right way to go.
I also see absolutely no problem with the third party editor :)
But the question I ask myself at this point is whether I wait for the new editor with the new articles or still create them in the old one. Give me a hint - is “soon” so close that I should wait for it?
It is planned that all articles written with the current editor will be migrated to the new one. That's what I'm currently working on; including a roll-back function if things go wrong. So, ideally, it won't matter if you start now or wait for a couple more days. I feel like I MUST finally release this next update as it's been way too long. So, I'd say "soon" means within the next 2 weeks.
Q: Can we embed eniston into our own website ?
Do you provide any html code to embed eniston into our own website ?
