Equitest - AI-Powered Business Valuation Platform Reviews

I have been very impressed by Equitest and its staff. The platform is extremely useful to me as an attorney periodically tasked with negotiating resolutions where one party is entrenched in their nonsense business "valuation" based on nothing but their opinion. I use Equitest to provide a real value based on metrics that are verifiable. When the amount at issue doesn't really warrant a business appraiser, this is my go to solution. The valuation seems gimmicky and unrealistic. I've back tested the valuation for one company with Syft, actual negotiations and my understanding of the business and Equitest was on another planet. Cold planet. Further the Xero financial data import was importing wrong numbers in the BS, and I had to type them manually. Saving grace - in theory you could spit out a valuation in 30min. You can adjust most assumptions used for valuation. That said - If you know how to adjust these you are probably a valuation expert already. For me as an accountant who's done valuations as a trainee 15 years back, it is of limited use.

Equitest is a great product and has all important valuation methods. CEO is very supportive ans had an hour long videocall with us to give detailled explanation.

I purchased Equitest with an immediate need, to work on a valuation for a proposed business purchase and expansion. I had already modelled it using spreadsheets which was helpful for financial data input. However, I needed to somehow translate those figures into an equity valuation and Equitest did that and more. A third party assisted valuation gives a lot more credibility, and in the case of Equitest it saves a lot of time and headache! I was able to input, adjust and successfully complete the valuation.

I did need help from support on four occasions and EACH time the response was received very quickly (by email), on two occasions I setup a video call and on two other occasions they sent me video instructions. The support alone was worth 5 stars let alone getting the product-result I needed from this. Buy and stash for when you need this in your business, especially if you are likely to need a couple of them over time.
