I never thought I would spend my day just testing converting files...for fun.
But I have.
File Star is the program I didn't know I needed but now can't work without. Now one of my top 5 Appsumo purchases.
I could give a long review, saying about how the automation, which you can string sequences together, ie convert to JPG > resize to 820x547 > crop - can be accomplished by simply dropping an image into a folder on your desktop, or using a hotkey, and hey presto, done - but that really sells itself.
What sets this apart, is the quality of conversions. I tried a PDF to SVG, not expecting much, as it's not easy with complex images... but FileStar tumped the top converters I tried it on, create pixel-perfect renders.
Looking forward to their Mac version. The only thing missing to make this the most perfect tool ever, would be a 'Back Ground' remover for images.
