The certificate expired on June 29, 2024, making the system non-functional, and I haven't heard back from the support team. It's a real pity because this tool is amazing.
Same thing happened last year and they did sort it after I emailed them. I'm thinking it may have finally gone. Shame, because like you said, it's a great tool.
I'm pretty sure it's dead, but it did last a few years before going.
Q: Just like another poster below, I too have questions about the future of Hazlo.
What is the current status of this product? It would be great if you could be transparent about current priorities even if it means a disruption in the active development of the product, just so that there is clarity and trust in the future of the product.
I was liking the direction you and your team were taking with biweekly/monthly update mails, a feedback portal etc., but everything seems to have come to a standstill in the last month and a half. Couldn't spot any changes on your site either. I tried reaching out to you via the chat feature in Hazlo in the last few days, but did not get any response.
I hope you understand that an early stage startup going silent right after an LTD seems a little worrisome π
Thanks a lot for reaching out! I'm really sorry you weren't able to reach out to us on the chat feature: that is very odd, we're live almost on all timezones, every day, and get back to any missed chats as soon as we can. This is a major concern & I'll look into this right away β it would be great if you could share your query on the chat again, or just reach to the team or me at support/ojas@hazlo.ai :)
On the product development, I completely understand your concern, and we're currently trying to find the best way to at least break-even monetise the platform since the compute fees are β as you can imagine β astronomical. Hazlo provides one of the most important tools of our time, ML, to everyone at rock bottom prices (our yearly fees are far lower than even the next platform's monthly fees); we're helping thousands of small businesses, educators & individuals use new-age services without being locked out for fiscal concerns β and we don't want to become an antithesis to this by raising our prices.
Our current focus is the enterprise & monthly-sub programs, just so we can sustain current burn, & take Hazlo to our long term vision. Furthermore, we're working with larger firms to integrate Hazlo's API-as-a-service for model building & data pipelines; hence, it may seem on the consumer front that progress has slowed.
We're trying our best to make sure we can take the platform to the next level, and will continue to provide maximum support to our LTD users without fail β as we have been doing so all along. I genuinely appreciate you reaching out, and please excuse the chat error, I'm having a look as I write :)
Please don't hesitate to reach out here, or at support@hazlo.ai if there are any concerns at all β would love to help out wherever I can!
Thanks a lot for reaching out! Inferences per minute are simply the number of API calls that a specific IP is allowed to make to Hazlo's servers. It's really only to protect the system from DDoS attacks & hasn't been a problem for any of our users. In the unlikely event that you do cross the inferences for a given minute, you can simply wait for the next minute; furthermore, if you do want to do bulk API calls, there is already a provision for large-scale prediction with .csv files.
Hope I was able to help with the query, and please don't hesitate to reach out if I can be of help anywhere else :)
Q: Hi Ojas,
Just a quick question as to the future of Hazlo.
Is the product still being actively developed? You mentioned some time ago about UI improvements etc. but activity seems to have stopped, including your marketing activity on social etc. Just wondering about where you're taking Hazlo going forward or whether you are now focussed on other things?
Thanks a ton for reaching out, and I'm really sorry if it seems like we're not doing enough. It's just that we're a tiny team & are currently trying our best to fix up all the bugs that come in production β plus are also in the frantic course of hiring our first few people (We actually don't have a 'social' media group, since I take care of all outreach, it's just me posting stuff :) You may have noticed that bugs in using the system have reduced significantly, & the ones that do pop-up are promptly taken care of.
Though I've mentioned before that the trajectory of Hazlo is not very well-defined, & we're still in the midst of experimenting how we can best open up the data economy β I can assure you that we will show our support for our LTD users, along with some upcoming benefits we have planned. I'm also always live on the chat window, so please don't hesitate to reach out there or at ojas@hazlo.ai if you think anything's amiss.
Hope I was able to answer your question, & please let me know if I missed anything!
Many thanks Ojas - great to hear, it wasn't a criticism but rather just wanting to check in with you to see if Hazlo still had you engaged. What you said is very reassuring and I'm looking forward to seeing where to take Hazlo in the future!
Of course, I completely understand :) Thanks a lot for your concern, & it's awesome to have you on the journey with us!
Best, Ojas from Hazlo
Q: Not to be a bummer or negative.
But I used your Store Clothing reviews https://hazlo.ai/e/4lB9ChGA to test clothing store reviews and your system prediction accuracy in real world. I went to https://www.google.com/search?tbs=lf:1,lf_ui:10&tbm=lcl&sxsrf=ALeKk01D4PJmA2014Pn6w9f1z8ASkLAC_A:1626888848068&q=womens+clothing+reviews&rflfq=1&num=10&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj_y4Kf2fTxAhXKB80KHQ-aCOYQjGp6BAgYEFM&biw=1868&bih=1184#lrd=0x89d5033fffda07e1:0x38ff752e699963f0,1,,,&rlfi=hd:;si:4107130227385787376,a;mv:[[43.944950399999996,-78.840828],[43.8814779,-78.9440689]]
And copy and pasted reviews from there into https://hazlo.ai/e/4lB9ChGA . Sorry to say that the accuracy of the predictions where way off! Try it out your self on this obvious 1 star review:
Don't bother taking your clothes here unless they are upscale brand name items still in style. Just donate them. You'll feel good and help someone. The few dollars you might get aren't worth it.
Thought I would just post this so that you might be able to 'defend' why the results as so bad?
Thanks a lot for reaching out & I completely understand the concern :) However, Hazlo utilises only state-of-the-art libraries to build your models β from sklearn to keras. These are standard algorithmic structures used by almost every entity that relies on machine or deep learning. Keeping aside some incremental optimization rates, you can be assured that the models you build on Hazlo are second to none.
Therefore, when it comes down to results, a major contributor is the quality & quantity of data fed into the system. The project I built here was just on something I had at hand at the moment, a small sample dataset of pure language with <25k rows, & actually trained under 20 mins β just to be a proof-of-concept. An added benefit that it's an easy use-case to grasp. On the contrary, it was a language-learning model with only one column which require incredible amount of time, infrastructure & data to be of some value.
As you can imagine, to get an algorithm to completely understand the nuances of the English language would require significantly larger resources. For instance, GPT-3, one of the largest NNs trained, required over 175 billion parameters, exabytes of data & years of research of OpenAI to get it to a level where it can comprehend the language to some acceptable standard (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPT-3).
Hazlo is meant to help individuals & SMEs who'd like to use A-grade models on relatively small β mostly numeric or categorical β datasets, quickly. Hope I was able to address the concern & please let me know if I missed anything :)
