Saves on Expense of A/B Testing....
I purchased HIPPOC back in March but didn't have a need until now. I'm currently in process of running A/B testing for marketing purposes so while I'll still be funding the testing, I'm able to improve what I'm testing through HIPPOC first so I don't have as much cash outlay with testing results. Some things to know because I started using HIPPOC before scheduling a demo call so used up some credits not understanding a few things, and also gained some great insights into the technology. I'll share some nuggets for you....
1) HIPPOC not only captures the attention grabbing elements of your piece (which others may do as well), but where it shines is on the most important aspect - memory recall - what stands out, bringing potential clients more or less readily to a call to action.
2) HIPPOC analyzes the design aspect, not the content words (which I didn't realize until I had my demo call) - so if you're only changing a few words for differentiation, it isn't going to give you great feedback on that, but if you're changing from long paragraph text to one sentence for example, it will rate it from a graphic element standpoint of what is attention grabbing (longer text potentially) vs more recallable (shorter one-sentence potentially).
3) HIPPOC will analyze different design & color elements and it is relational to other aspects (zones) you are also having it analyze.
4) Learn from my mistake - if you are soley wanting it to analyze different graphics but everything else is the same, you just don't know to use Picture A, B, or C, I would suggest not uploading them as separate images, but rather include them into one document (i.e. thru Canva) and use a different zone for each photo and have it analyze that way, otherwise you are wasting credits if you upload 3 (or more) different images and having it analyze one by one each separate vs. all in one image file, but designating within the image which zone to compare. You'll understand the zone piece I'm speaking of once you're in the program.
5) In addition to images, you can also have it analyze different CTA button colors, and other visual aspects such as your Headline font, length etc as it isn't reading the words so much as analyzing the graphical element of it.
So, now that I have my HIPPOC results for the graphical elements, I can continue with less expense with market A/B testing. I hope this helps as you work with the program. They are making additional developments that I'm excited about, and they took some of my feedback from this mornings demo call to take to their team so I would anticipate more explanations on their site in the near future. Enjoy!
