acted on it because of 2 reasons - (1) I didn't receive a response to pre-sales questions I emailed you months ago, and now (2) a rule of thumb on Appsumo is that the LTD offer is about worth 3 months of a monthly subscription, in exchange for the upfront investment - and the limits you are offering even after the improved offer is about 3X worse than that. So for 10 ideas, the monthly cost would be $30/month on your website. Typical deals on Appsumo would price that at $90-ish. You are trying to get $276 for that! You're trying to get close to 10x a monthly subscription which is completely out of whack on AS - and I say this as someone who has bought 100-ish LTD deals in a year. This is why you are getting so much grief from us. And all that talk that you are a product that is not a beta with traction...well, products with enough traction don't offer any lifetime deals on their websites or Appsumo - and it shows difficulties for a company that has been around for a while. And many deals on Appsumo are of pretty polished products like yours. If you are serious about evolving from 3 reviews with an average rating of 4.0, which is the kiss of death on Appsumo, would urge you to dramatically change your pricing on Appsumo, keep it for a limited time, and remove LTD pricing from your website. Those who would have bought at your current pricing would have bought already. Am rooting for you, but you have to be much smarter about this. Appsumo testers are gamblers, but they need enough upside to gamble. You should be seeing results at least as good as Sturppy (a somewhat similar product), and you're not. Look into them. They have 29 ratings of 4.9, were offering for $80 unlimited everything. They have since then bifurcated their offerings to founder vs consultants with a limited LTD for entry-level founders, but you can see how their Appsumo deal and product delighted users just a few months ago.

I would say that every company has it’s own strategy like every customer has its own perspective, and that is why it’s not easy to come up with the right conclusion.

Our prices are based not only on the present value we provide to our customers, but also on what they will get in the future by using the platform.

IdeaBuddy is planned to be a combination of multiple tools in one platform, and the scope we have ahead of us is quite ambitious.

For example, in the coming months, we will include the whiteboard tool, as well as the project management tools, which both could be advertised and sold as separate products.

So by having al that in mind, unfortunately we cannot fourth lower prices for lifetime plans.

When Zapier offered their LTD on Appsumo, they did not price it based on their long-term ambition for the product; they based it on the monthly they charged then. As do most who sell LTDs on Appsumo. And when there are excellent free project management and whiteboarding tiers in tools like Clickup, not sure that having that on the Ideabuddy roadmap would make someone pay triple now. I feel you have dug in on this, even though the results are not great. Sometimes founders can be stubborn and not pivot in time, and you being someone who wants to help such founders pivot and launch well, you should model that :) But your strategy is your prerogative. I tried to help :) Also, answering my questions on confidentiality, encryption and access would be of interest to all users here, so would appreciate a response here instead of punting it to chat support. Every time I try to buy Ideabuddy i findblatent contradictions. You claim in this post that you price it because new tools are coming like white board. Then you say its not included "Unfortunately, the whiteboard feature is not available on lifetime plans because of technical limitations, " Its so off putting.

But you didn't include the whiteboard did you? You released it, but not for Appsumo users, so your answer to this question is unfair to both Appsumo and Appsumo users. Integrity and coming through on promises is essential.

You seem like a good guy, a good company, and have what might be a great product, but after reading the questions and answers, and the distinct lack of reviews I am worried about investing in IdeaBuddy, which is a shame as I think it is just what I need.

Ok, you have included the whiteboard tools, but not in our appsumo subscription, so if we want to use it we have to give up our lifetime subscription and switch to an annual/monthly subscription? Better analyze your costs well and include them in your offer for sumolings. By the way, the tool is fantastic, it has a lot of potential. I propose that you grant affiliates access to all tools or plugin
