I recently purchased IdeaBuddy and used it to create a business plan and model. Overall, I’m very impressed with the product and its capabilities.

What stands out most is the structured approach of the Business Guide. The templates and guided process are incredibly helpful for organizing data and ensuring all aspects of a business plan are covered. As someone who has founded several businesses and created plans before, I found this a highly convenient and efficient way to gather data and define the key components of a business model.

The financial projections and models are another highlight. They are quite comprehensive and user-friendly, providing valuable insights. As far as I can tell so far, they’re detailed enough to support realistic planning, which is critical for any business.

The AI Companion is helpful, but it has its limitations. While it provides rather cookie-cutter suggestions that are a good starting point, it’s not as conversational or flexible as tools like ChatGPT, making it difficult to refine inputs dynamically. It would be great if there were a way to work more interactively with the AI to further develop each section.

The validation section was initially underwhelming. It’s essentially a self-evaluation questionnaire, which feels subjective and lacks robust validation tools like hypothesis testing or structured experiments. However, it’s still a quick and clear way to evaluate your business plan, even if it isn’t the most objective method.

The idea board is another feature that could benefit from more AI integration. It’s essentially a modified business model canvas, which requires you to input everything manually. While I didn’t use it much because I jumped straight into the business guide, I can see its value as an entry point. Adding some AI-driven guidance here could make it more user-friendly and aligned with the rest of the tool.

In the end, I was able to draft a complete business plan in just a few days, which is impressive. IdeaBuddy provided an excellent starting point, and while I had to refine many elements on my own, the system made the process much faster and easier.

If you’re looking for an efficient and structured way to develop a business plan, IdeaBuddy is a strong choice. That said, there’s room for improvement in areas like interactive AI support and more robust validation tools. Still, I’m very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend it to anyone starting a business or refining an idea.
